Ok ,back to the original topic, the Tiki Room. I just saw a picture of the fountain on eBay. What was the big deal? The fountain is nothing to write home about. There are two of the parrots from the show on it,but they are so small!
The fountain that was being offered was signed by the artists, but it was on the bottom of the base. No one would be able to see it. The fountain was currently at about $200.
I think a fountain that featured the parrots in a tropical garden setting would have been more attractive, but then again what do I know?

The fountain is actually pretty cool! But not worth $449 or starting a riot over. Now, if you could put RUM in it...eh, Grumpy?

Here's a link to ebay:

Notice how artist Kevin Kidney mimics Walt Disney's signature.

"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Haha screw the children, I want my worthless trinket!

How much do you want to bet that this woman gets all her money from her "DH"? Haha.

Hold on a goshdarn minute! It's a 19" fountain that oh, boy probably will work for maybe an hour? And people were WHINING about it?!!?

Look, I understand the collecting bug, okay? But it's a piece of plastic. Or resin or whatever it's made of. Unless there was an actual animatronic attached to it singing the Tiki song, get over it.

Think about it, folks. Is it going to be mounted on your grave after you die to
keep all your graveyard neighbors company? No? Then shut the hell up and move on to more important things.

Sheesh.

ME TOO! ME TOO! Ralphy and I wanna go! Ralphie has a collection of Rums from around the world! He LOVES Rum!

Oh and by the way, when we were there at DL on June 25th-29th, I was able to pick up the couple of Tiki Room pins from that event right over at Little Green Men. There were some extras of those. I got the one I really, really wanted with Goofy on it. They sometimes have extras after the event! Like when we were at WDW, they still had some pins left from the Everest event. I did not want those, but they were still available. I know they have great LE framed stuff and merch that will NOT be available, but just watch eBay....eventually it WILL show up there. Those merch events are like gladiators in a coliseum. You have to be nuts to go to those things.

That is why I let Zazu off the hook for the Wall*E pin set when he offered to find it for me! Say thank you Zazu! ;) hehehehe Just kidding, I would NOT put you through that hell! I was able to get it from one of my eBay pals at price. He had two sets for me if I wanted em! I only bought one, cause I only need one. They made a little cash with their handling fees, but that is what they sell on eBay for, to make money and if I cannot get there for an LE release, I know I have people.

I have people. ;)

I will always check eBay for cool stuff. There are always the ones who sell things for outrageous prices and there are the great sellers who are Disney fans themselves and they don't rip you off. I have some of those sellers. I can always find that event stuff or any or the Dsiney stuff at eBay for any price I can pay.

What I cannot and WILL NOT do, is go to those maniacal, crazy, freaked out events! I would not be able to take it! Those people are insane. I will just wait patiently for it show up on eBay and IF I REALLY want it, get it there.
Easy!
