Continued from above....
Anyone who has known me here, for as long as I have been here, will tell you I would do just about anything for a CM. I LOVE the CMs. :) Go back and read what I have said about CMs in my other posts. This is the very FIRST time I have had something a bit negative to say, because yes, I did have a negative experience with some CMs who did not care or were not trained correctly. It was a first and it was a surprise. I have never had that happen before.
Most CMs are the wonderful, magical people that make the Disney Parks what they are. So don't take offense at my remarks, they were NOT aimed at you. I was simply stating some of the things we ran into this trip which I was surprised about. I had not had that experience before and it made me sad, more than angry, that CMs had all sorts of varying answers about the same issue. When I told the CMs in City Hall about the inconsistency in what the CMs were telling us, they had this to say. "I am sorry, but we have many new Cast Memebers and they are still learning everything." That was it. Not any other answer like "I will talk to the leads" or "mention to anyone", just an excuse as to why they were like that. I have never in my llife had that kind of answer or treatment by CMs in my life. That is why it stuck out for me.
I did not expect any kind of freebie or NSA or anything, I am not like that. I just want to know what the right thing is to do, when I am being told 2 or 3 different things by 2-3 different CMs. I just wanted to let them know that that GC CMs need to be a little more consistent, cause you have to ask, What is the right way? What SHOULD have I done? I tried to do it the way the first CM told me and move up, and when the next CM walked by, he told me to move back. The original CM walked by again and told me to move up please. I did and the next one told me to move back. What would you have done? This is inconsistent.
Not an insult to CMs, just the truth of what happened to me. I don't want to argue about it anymore, I want to put it away now and just remember to be on the watch for it next year and try to avoid the crowds and parades. That is sad. I am tired of arguing about it and we will have to agree to disagree, bcause we each have our opinion and that opinion is right for each of us and we can still talk Disney here. :)
We will go back, because we love Disney Parks, but this trip was one that had more SG tricks than any other trip we have taken and the couple problems we had with CMs was minor, but caused an inconvenience. We did have real SGs doing real SG behavior which was rude and far worse to deal with. After all, you can't punch somone for being a SG, can you? Durn! ;)
I don't think I should have my view blocked by an abled bodied person in the disabled section. If I want that, I can go sit anywhere else along the Parade route. I think like Bru, in the future I will just have to avoid them. I'll catch the reruns on youtube, just like I catch the ridethroughs of the thrill rides I cannot do because it would not be good for me and it would hurt too much. The ridethrough vids at youtube are interesting and fun to watch and you have no pain from getting bumped around, dropped, or swung about in a loop! ;)
I will try to get some pics loaded in the next couple days. I have been lying down a LOT because the pain is nonstop now and I cannot get around on my feet at all anymore. I am in the chair or in bed, those are my choices now.
I have an appt with the vascular surgeon on June 9th. He is the first surgeon to go in and move all the blood vessels and organs to the side, so that the Spine specialist can then go into the area in the spine to clean out all the disk debris and arthritic spurs and put the new disk in.
I am looking forward to the time after after the surgery and recovery and recuperation of 6 weeks. Maybe I will be on my feet again. If so, great! If not, I will have to learn to live with this.
