Yeah, with all the pounding from the fights and stuff you'd think it'd be tender. It just shows that the Sizzler can ruin anything!

I could be wrong (it HAS happened before), but I think they called the mechanical shark Bruce while filming the movies.

You are correct. I always thought that the shark named Bruce in Nemo was an omage to the "JAWS" shark!

Story is, when filming began on Jaws the mechanical shark was a bit of a nightmare (thus the reason it isn't actually IN the movie very much). When Spielberg saw it for the first time, he said it reminded him of his lawyer, and thus the shark was named Bruce. Bruce the shark in Nemo was both an homage to those that knew the story about Bruce, the shark in Jaws, and a play on the joke that all men in Australia are named Bruce.
