I'm planning to visit next in early Dec. So we may have to see if we can find a time and date when we can all get together to give this a try. :D: Maybe we can try to collect enough SGTers that we can fill a log (so we aren't having to coerce standard guest, and there won't be nearly as many witnesses when we do our SG impression).
Zazu, do you want to join us for the attempt at recreating a tsunami inside Splash? :D:

I don't really care all that much about riding Splash, I just enjoy taking the folks at Photo Check copies of our custom-built 40-passenger logs!
Why don't you post one of those here for all to enjoy?

after watching our new monorails arrive months ago and not seeing them out and running, here is why:
http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al022608a.htm
it seems disney made mods to the trains that never made it into the master train blueprints. so first test out, the new beautiful
train promply rips itself a new one going thru the first S section out of the barn. doing a load of damage to it and the beamtrack. smooth move Disney. wonder what this will cost them.
yo Disney! out here in vegas we have some mark sixes bombardier dropped on us that we can't pay for. we will sell them cheap.
call our good mayor.

Although, I have heard from higher ups (I am not at liberty to say who, to protect them) that the flume is being redone because it is after all, very old and has never been refurbed, BUT, the statement about the flume being deepened for Pooh sized guests IS true. That comes from NOT a cast member, but someone higher up than that.
There have been several episodes of boats being filled with heavy passengers and not going anywhere. It needs to be done because people are heavier now than they were 40-50 years ago. I should say MORE people are heavier...There have always been Pooh sized people, but there are a LOT more now.
I don't like the idea of the Disney characters invading Mary Blair's wonderful children. There is an online petition somewhere to protest the changes. And if they are ripping out the Rainforest to put in an Americascape, that is to me a no-no. People still flock to that attraction because it is so beloved and they don't *need* to change it. If if ain't broke, don't fix it.
So repair the flumes, they are broken, make em deeper for Pooh sized people and LEAVE THE RAINFOREST ALONE!!!!!! JMHO

Ummm, Susi, this thread is about the screwup with the new monorail trains at DL, not with the refurb of it's a small world.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

and our monorails are all computer controled.
don't even need a brain to use them. or operate them.
