Thanks, Vixen. This sounds like fun. I can take WW and MM on all kinds of fun adventures around here or they can bask on the beach at the beautiful Gulf of Mexico sipping a tropical drink if that's all they want to do.

Shorty, I was hoping you'd think that would be a fun thing to do. We can take them to see the IMAX movies at the Museum theater, or maybe the flight simulators. Hope they aren't prone to motion sickness! :p:

Please add me to the list for the two Flats! :)

Or both! It's been a while since I've done either. Of course we'd have to get them lunch at the Cubi Bar Cafe. Their food is pretty good.

I'll have to be sure to visit the museum and all before leaving the area.

YW

BUt geez ppl let me get the things made and the sign up thread up and running first....patience is a virtue. LOL :D:
I will do both of them OK, Wallaby? Save you the trouble. Hey Zazu do you have a bigger pic of that flag waving marsupial.? I can draw it by hand but would rather not if I can avoid it. I could enlarge it but it would get a bit distorted that way.

I will do them seperately on 2 different sign up threads since I would like to send Meghyn's to some other folks on the net I know that are overseas, so this way she can learn about different countries. This way I can combine the 2. I do need an edit function over 15 minutes to be able to do this up right. Anyway I can get that priviledge for the duration of this or exclusive to those threads?. I hate to bug mods with stuff like that and it is faster to just edit it myself.

Remember PPL I am going on vacation in 2.5 weeks and I still need to do laundry and pack. Damn Donnie anyway for giving me this bug of his. Patience patience
Just a OT side note. Extra strength Musinex DM is some strong ass shit! WOW ! I only took a half of one rhis morning and it does work to clear up the lungs and control cough but is making me as dizzy and sleepy as hell. I am only taking like a 1/3 from now on and ONLY when needed. I WILL be over this come hell or highwater by next week or so.

She doesn't have to get anything hard to drink as they have a decent selection of foods and normal drinks. The museum is HUGE and it takes all day to go through it. The Cubi Bar Cafe is a wonderful place to get lunch.

HMMMM, just thinking maybe I will send them both at once then after everyone has had a turn we can send them home to their respective larger counterparts. I can always send Meghyn's out on a second tour on DWT later. Do you mind traveling with her BW? hehehe!

I will set this up the middle of March I promise. I need a vacation first, actually I need drugs to get rid of my sore throat at the moment but the vacation will make that better. Just realized something, I got sick with the same symptoms about 2 weeks before I left on the last trip. Guess I am an anomoly, most ppl get sick after visiting WDW, I get sick beforehand. LOL

Getting sick beforehand is a good idea, Vixen (assuming you get well by the time your departure date arrives). You'll build up antibodies and be strong and healthy during and after your trip.

Okay, we'll let you get well and have your vacation, then you're going to start getting WW & MM Flats ready for their first outing, right? Are you going to send an expense account with them? A hundred dollars will do for starters. :D: Just Kidding!!!

Oh, and don't forget to get all your pictures posted and your trip report written when you return. And all your suitcases unpacked and put away. And all your laundry done. But all that can wait until you've sent WW & MM on their way.
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: That's me trying to be patient.

Never thot about that point about the antibodies, hmmm, maybe that is why I never get sick from vacation. Good point.

Unpacking suitcases, now that is a novelty, I think I still have some things in one from last Sept. HEHEHE (who needs bathing suits in December in PA?)

Are you volunteering the expense account money?.. You know the rules , you bring it up you gotta do it. :D:

Dang woman you look like my 5 year old when she wants something and she wants it NOW! Little brat, oh her, not you, well....... :D:

OH, Donnie said he likes the shortened versions of the flats names you gave them. We will keep them like that. Is there a name for letters that look the same (sort of) when you turn them upsidedown? Ok, I either need some cold medicine or I need to lay off the honey tea (I have a sore throat now..joy)

Just to save your life, I'll say that she's on her way to Pennsylvania.

And if you're a volunteer who doesn't live there, I chose by deleting those who didn't bother to send an address, then deleting those in states where she's already been, then picked the remaining SGTer with the largest number of posts.

Everything I have read up on them seems to indicate that since they eventually make their way back to the original owner and the items go to them once the "tour" is over. I think as long as you keep it to small lightweight items like postcards and such it will still all fit into a padded envelope.
Remember to put a "return to" address and "return home by" date in the log (and possibly printed on the back of the figure incase of US Mail Misshap). This will make it much more likley that the Flat family members return home even if they inavertantly make a side trip along the way.

One suggestion I have hear is to use a folder with loose pages in a "report cover" for the log. A cover that the pages can be removed and replaced will allow those who take digital photos or similar activities can remove the next blank page, print the photo(s) and return the page to the book. And if more blank pages are needed they can be added. The entire log book and the Flat family member(s) can all travel very comfortably in a manilla envelope.

One other thing I heard once was when a Flat Stanley was about to begin touring the "sponsoring youngster" helped Stanley pack for the trip. The cover of the log was decorated with stickers with food, clothing, toothbrush, and such. The sponsoring youngster had fun deciding what to pack and how to pack it. And they had fun with their parent discussing what kind of things they might want on a vacation.
