Re: Alternate Names
I think the easiest way of answering the popular question of "Where is Soarin'?" is to just say "follow the rest of the mob of people walking in." Short and simple. Of course, there is always the small chance the person will follow someone going to Living with the Land, but in the end they probably end up at Soarin' eventually.

Here's a dumb question from a Californian. At DCA, Soarin' is Soarin' over California. What are you Soarin' over in FLA?
"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

The way I think of it is that there is some serious magic and pixie dust work going on that can magically transport us all to California and back since Soarin' at Epcot is the same as Soarin' over California.Ms. Matterhorn wrote:Here's a dumb question from a Californian. Re: Alternate Names
Soarin' is a gift from Disneyland to Disney World, or so I am told. Therefore, of course it's going to be over California. I mean, where are you going to get kayaking in a mountain river in Florida?
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I suppose you could kayak in the Splash Mountain flume, but you'd prolly damage the kayak on the lift hills. Kali River Rapids could make for an interesting kayak experience. Not that I'm saying anyone should do this.Big Wallaby wrote:Soarin' is a gift from Disneyland to Disney World, or so I am told. Therefore, of course it's going to be over California. Just picture the surf shots, um, minus the surf. There could still be orange groves.Ms. Matterhorn wrote:Here's a dumb question from a Californian. At DCA, Soarin' is Soarin' over California. What are you Soarin' over in FLA?
After that, just swamp. And more swamp.
Though it really would be cool to have a space shuttle take off right past us!
Wallaby, what would probably get me fired is that I'd eventually resort to the line from Real Genius (so many good quips in that film!): Which word didn't you understand?Big Wallaby wrote:Ack! Too many big words! ...

I have had that problem more times than I can count. Guests getting on a boat said "I don't know why they call it Soarin', your just on a boat..."dancinghomer wrote:I think the easiest way of answering the popular question of "Where is Soarin'?" is to just say "follow the rest of the mob of people walking in." But mostly I just start saying "Just follow everyone else..."

Re: Alternate Names
People actually mix the two up?
Actually, I don't want to know.
Gonna cry now.
