I typically only wear mine (which I got late, since they sent it to DCA Stores Stock, where I used to be, rather than Main Street East Stores, where I am now) when I'm working in an area I'm not normally at for pretty much the same reason. Doesn't seem to keep people from treating me like an idiot/n00b just because they've never seen me before though.

Incidentally, my Hire Date is exactly 11 months after my SGT Registered Date. :D:
