Re: Next time I go to the movies, I'm bringing Syndrome
I took my daughter to see Shrek 3, figured cartoon, humor she won't understand, but it should be a safe one for my wife and I to enjoy. Plopped the little one down with her own popcorn. I guess about 1/2 way through she had enough (she sat through The Robinson's just fine, go Disney!) so I had to remove her and miss the last 1/2 of Shrek. We're thinking about taking her to see Ratatouille, she likes the commercials and sneak peaks she's seen, plus we'll take her when there are more kids in the theatre.
Wallaby, your story reminds me of the time we were at the theatre to see Titanic and this family, obviously not their country of origin, sat around us talking and at one point passed their child over us to another family member. We complained, got free tickets and didn't look back. Sorry Mrs. Wallaby got sick, hope she feels better soon! My wife got sick thanks to a cousin when we were visiting my 91 year old Grandmother.

Darph,
You need to get together with Wallaby. You can fill him in about the parts that he missed and he can fill you in on the last 5 minutes. (Unless that was the la la la part)

Re: Next time I go to the movies, I'm bringing Syndrome
Well, I noticed it today. I have the sniffles starting, with a bit of a cough.
It's one thing when a SG affects themselves and then it's funny. Like the group of ladies that tried to (and successfully did) get on my bus tonight when I was driving for Animal Kingdom. I asked if they had a car there, and they didn't I then let them know that it was closed, and we weren't allowing anyone to go to the park unless they had a car there, because they would be stuck there. "Oh, that's okay," the leader of the group replied, "we're going to catch the monorail to the Contemporary."
But when they ruin someone else's day, or get a Cast Member (or two) sick... GRR!

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Good for you. BTW, if you haven't made it back to see the movie, the ship sinks.ktulu wrote:Wallaby, your story reminds me of the time we were at the theatre to see Titanic and this family, obviously not their country of origin, sat around us talking and at one point passed their child over us to another family member. Re: Next time I go to the movies, I'm bringing Syndrome
wow. that's awful. i am assuming that there were no available seats left, since you had to stand in the back. i personally hate going to the movie theatre if it is crowded, especially w/kids. i have two of my own, and if they acted up, i would remove them. fortunately it has never happened in the theatre. i guess after a few shots of dirty looks and the noise behind me didn't stop, i'd start retaliating. or if i was in one of my "monthly moods" i'd have stood up and say "is anyone else being bothered by this behavior?" or maybe a big SHUT UP !
i cringe when a kid or even an adult sneezes w/o covering their mouth. the airborne germs that spread goes about 7 feet into the air, and the diseases that one can catch is scary.
