When CMs get bored...

This is the place to tell us about the stupid things fellow employees can do.

I GOT "THE" PHOTO!!!

Post by BirdMom » Tue Aug 12, 2003 1:21 pm

So remember awhile back I mentioned that I'd seen a photo of a certain
Mouse in the men's room??? I've got it in my purse as we
speak...hehehe...

I have some errands to run this afternoon, but I am planning on scanning
and posting on my personal web page later on tonight...Will put up a new
topic when it's there...

And, yes, btw - they were between parades and bored - I'd
forgotten the trousers were down around the ankles...

At the Greeter position of Monorail there used to be some trees and
bushes between us and the water (since removed when they added the
queue/elevator). One day the planter was swarming with
little mice at the base of the tree! And I mean SWARMING! It was like
an anthill, but with mice! An incredible sight.

Of course they were gone by the next day. Probably made into burgers
at the Terrace...

We can't do that?

Post by VonSeegs » Fri Aug 29, 2003 7:16 pm

So one day we were having a really normal day at Space so a friend
decided to teach me how to look at rocket timings to figure out what
order to put the rockets in so we could run 12 instead of the usual 11. If
anyone out there knows or knew Space you know that 12 was once ran
but because it became such a POS ride mechanically we were only
allowed 11.

Well I was lead at the time and we ran 12. No one would have found out
if this stupid guest who was trying to help his wife get into the rocket
didn't knock her into the track. It was good times though.

when we got bored on book we would make up plans to over run fantasy
land. we had a lead that was going to tarzan from the top of matterhorn
to the top of the castle. some of us were going to run in circles and
screasm. while everyone else took over. It was funny when a manager
came in and we would quickly erase the board but then we would never
go through with it.

What to do....

Post by Space Man K7 » Mon Sep 15, 2003 1:08 am

Ok, so I know that things have changed... A LOT, but so far I've
managed to find things to do when we get bored. Now let's keep in mind
that I went from Space to... oh, the RIVER... so there's a LOT of FREE
TIME... but so far...

the summer brought water fights on the dock. I managed to get someone
from the Brow of the Columbia with the hose that is used to fill the
TWAIN.

Throwing things in to the wheelhouse at the unsuspecting CMs

Keeping Food and CD player in your monorail coat.

Making slinkies out of unused Fastpass cards at Space and then teaching
the Thunder Kids that trick

THE MOVIE GAME!!!

Prank calls to other attractions

Sending the Goofy B-day message to EVERYONE!

Asking Tomorrowland one if they had seen "Jan" <from HISTA... Preshow
movie>

Making and posting the daily Crap Shack Menu (Inn Between)

Taking pants off in the Wheelhouse.

Attempting to scale the rattlings on the Columbia

Fighting with "Tom and Huck" on the island

REED ROCKETS

Calling Flordia attractions and confusing the hell out of them.

and other random nonsence.

The water is green for a reason
Not quite sure what that reason is,
but it's green for a reason Kids!

On Monorail, I'd usually have some candy or snacks, or even soda
hidden in my coat, to much on while driving.

A decade ago on Monorail, we'd have slow days where we'd only run one
train - so the person at the hotel would sit there for a while until the train
came around again. I brought a magazine with me.

On Space we'd pass the time gossiping on the headsets between Tower,
Bars and Dispatch. Rating the guests (in terms of good looks) as they
came by.

On Subs I'd sneak in a walkman and listen to Howard Stern all day long.
I had it down to a science. I'd set up my VCR to record his show in the
morning. When I'd get home, I'd dump that from the VCR to a few audio
cassettes; then bring those in the next day to listen to. That was back
when Stern was a lot funnier than his is now. Back when he had Billy
West as a semi-regular on the show.

On Peoplemover, of course, we'd watch the monitors for breeders.

On Circlevision we'd either just leave the theater and hang out in the
breakroom, or we'd sit behind the podium and fall asleep.

Kudos to Spaceman for going pantsless in the wheelhouse. It's a time
honored tradition, welcome to the club! Many have come before you and
your forefathers now pass the torch unto you.

Also, reed ROCKETS$@#$@#$ Forgot all about those!!!
