I wonder if he really belives that nobody from security has ever taken his tour, there's problably a cm in every group, if anyone of us CMs who are current, were to take that tour no matter what department, or area, he's got security there, and custodial, it's one of the first things we're taught, is that we all double as security/custodial, and anyone one of us, even the women who took his tour, coulda blown the wistle.

Oh wow, I must have forgotten about that! Instead of getting the tour I paid good money for and wanted to hear, I could have busted Jim as soon as he started talking! What a missed opportunity that was.
Perhaps you should remember that there's no written policy against the sort of tours Jim (and I) host. Yes I'm sure, I checked.

wut about this:
Disneyland spokesman Bob Tucker responded in a statement: "Only qualified Disneyland Resort cast members are authorized to provide tours of Disneyland. Since Mr. Hill's tour was not authorized he was asked to leave the property."
Another spokesman likened Hill's tours to trespassing.
"This is private property and he's not allowed to do that. It's just like we would not allow someone to come in and set up a T-shirt shop," said Rob Doughty.

It's a nice sentiment, but it's not a published Company policy. As I said, I checked -- carefully -- before I gave my first tour after joining the cast. I checked again after the Jim Hill affair, and the policy manual *still* doesn't have anything to prohibit such tours, paid or not.
What it does have is wording about "disrupting operations or the enjoyment of other guests," and when Jim let the wrong people join his tour he ran afoul of that section.
So... as long as I know who it is I'm talking to....

Here's my pointless comments (Because it's that time of day and all things must go):
Disneyland basically said what Timon says in the Festival of the Lion King (at the end) in the "Disney way"
Timon: We hope you enjoyed the show, it was grand having you, you were a lovely audience, the best audience ever. Now please GET OUT.
The real message (and what some CMs think): Show's over, get the **** out! (Or my line, make like shepards and get the flock out!)
That's it, I'm out.

I have to second that, Zazu does give excellent tours, he just knows so much. In fact, I might be heading to Disneyworld again near the end of the year and might have to take another one. :)

Thanks for the kind words, gang. (Check's in the mail.)
My "Misguided Tours" are just random stories about the history of the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Walt, and whatever else my tour group wants to hear about. Some of them are even true! But there's truth and then there's Truth, if you know what I mean.
I'm also trying to work up decent tours of the Studios and Epcot, but the data is harder to come by, so right now those are much shorter.
Drop me a PM if you'll be visiting WDW and we'll try to match dates.
