...you run in opposite direction when you see someone driving an ECV outside of work.

When I worked at Los Angeles Air Force Base, whenever I answered the phone, I'd say "EELV, Lieutenant Collin."

I went home to my parents' for Christmas one time and was alone in the house when the phone rang. Not only did I stupidly answer my parents' phone "EELV. Lieutenant Collin," but it just so happened that the person calling was my office mate looking for me.

...you go to the store and it starts to bug you when the employees don't use the 2 part greeting

oh, YEAH!! It's like everybody is celebrating their Birthdays at T.G.I.Friday's. It's true!! I have a million OLD CMRG around my house.
