However, with my diction, I have been asked what part of England I was from, by a bloke from England who truly thought I was.

I've been told I can be quite convincing. I was once coerced into doing a bit of Eliza Doolittle for a couple girls at the UK pavilion and they said it sounded for real.

Of course, just being polite and then they were probably calling me an SG and rolling their eyes after I was gone ROFL

Yes Wallaby, I have got friends from the UK but that is part of the reason I won't use it. Mostly I won't say it because it sounds incredibly STUPID and if you wear it properly it never gets near that particular part of your anatomy LOL.

Far as 'that' word ;) I have no problem using other British swears; especially when comedically timed and in the proper accent- (and never in front of children. Especially not English children) a'la Patsie and/or Edina from AbFab . . . make mummy some cofffeeeee dahhhlinggggggg. . .

and thanks Pirate, too bad I got the term right but spelled it wrong! LOL Shame on me. I'm usually so much more Merriam-Webster than that *hanging head in shame* Galoot. I knew that.

This is why I wear a waist pack thingie (I refuse to call them the other name) LOL in the parks. I hate going back to a purse when we get home.

In fact, I confess, after our last trip I just shoved the whole pack into my purse and it remains there. I was joking I may just be able to pull it out and resume vacation mode for our upcoming trip LOL my brain refused to accept that our last trip was over.

Are you a Brit or have Brit connections? The term Fanny Pack causes giggles in Brits as in Brit slang "Fanny" refers to the female generative organ, not the tush as here in the US. I have learned to use the term "Belt Pouch" on the usenet groups as I know there are a few of my friends who are Brits and I try not to encourage misunderstandings. Unless I intend to do so. :D:

Many years ago I introduced my parents to using belt pouches for vacation convenience. My mother found it so handy that she rarely carries a purse anymore. When shopping she uses a belt pouch. MUCH more theft resistant and when worn infront it is harder to pick-pocket without being caught. The one she has includes several internal divisions and zippered pockets which make things easier to find and zippered pockets inside are even more secure for cash and cards. And as a side benefit she found that the pouch being attached to the waist takes a lot of stress off the sholder and spine. She has had much less back pain problems since the switch.

When they became very popular, a lot of theft has occurred when the thief would come up onto the person wearing it, and using either a box cutter, or a plastic "seat belt" cutter, would cut the strap and take off with the pouch.

They now make one (and purses) with a small steel cable in the strap, to prevent the slash and run type of theft!

Today I went to DCA and we saw allot of kids cruising around like nothing was going to happen.

But then, I wouldn't be much of a threat on heelies. My balance is such that every time I'd try to roll, there would be a resounding <THUD> soon after. The only danger would be confusion to area seismologists.

I was working a land position, mentioned how people hadn't packed any food, so they could use the termite mounds, and the driver had brought enough Vegemite for everyone. A guest knew what it was and that got us into a wonderful conversation for a few moments.
