HA! the only good comback would have been, "sucks to be you right now"

(most places I have been, Firemen are allowed to have emergency lights in their POV's to respond to a truck location to assist)

More Guest Peeves

* Those that call us an a terrible, noisy area and expect us to raise our voices.

* People with strollers or wheelchairs!...Arrrrrgh, if you're going to stop. Pull over to the fricken right! Quit stopping in the middle of the walkway. There are hundreds of people behind you.

* Kids that play on the phones. The ones who just press buttons and then make a stupid comment when one of us answers. You're at fricken Disneyland are you seriously trying to convince me that you have nothing else or better to do then bug us?!

* Inconsiderate people that stay at restaurants resting their feet when there are hundreds of other people that would like to dine there. There are benches all over the Resort!

* Parents that allow their kids to continue throwing fits and crying....Just because you are desensitized to it does not mean the rest of us are!

A friend and her husband own the Pioneer Inn located in the heart of Lahaina on the harbor. They had a wireless LAN set up. When a cruise ship was in port they'd have people all over the property with their laptops tapping into their bandwidth. They thought it was dragging down their internal network but wanted to show the spirit of aloha so they left it up.

Then they discovered the restaurant was losing business because the laptop cruisers were tying up a table for hours while they were on line. They wanted to do something but the spirit of aloha...

One day the husband was trying to get past a laptop cruiser who had sprawled himself across the stairs leading to the office. "Excuse me." said the husband.

"Who the hell do you think you are!?!?" replied the cruiser.

The wireless network died about two minutes later.

Ah yes, I remember the Pioneer Inn well. We stayed in the older part - no air conditioning. Did they ever remodel and install central air? You wouldn't think it would be needed when those trade winds blow, but it was quite muggy in those rooms.

That doesn't mean an ignorant PO won't stop you. In my former home town, we got a lot of PO's who transferred in from a big city police dept. One night, one of them radioed the dispatcher and asked where all those pickups with red lights were going and just who were they. The dispatcher stated they were firefighters on the way to an alarm. The officer then asked where the fire was to which the dispatcher said " follow the pickups with the red lights"

I do have a few pet peeves:

When walking up the hill from Splash Mountain to the Haunted Mansion area, why do the characters stop and cause a traffic jam daily? Can't they be near Splach Mountain exit?

Now coming home on Katella there was a few stupid drivers driving 21 mph in the fast lane. OMG! The drivers on the freeways can drive faster than them. Lay off the crack pipe!! Of course they are chatting on their cell phones, which we now have a law that you can not do so.

Then, the final of my peeves, why do stupid guests come up to the food carts and drift off to space before ordering their food item? I love it whe the come up and say what do you sell? I feel so sorry for the cast members.

I was thinking more along the lines of crying/complaining when they get caught/arrested, but politics is also a good example! HEHEHe
