Stupid Guest Tricks

I would pet Scooter for HOURS and let her sleep with me on the Floor (I have an awesome air mattress and sleeping bag. She and Hubby will have to share remaining space) Hubby Loves Dogs, too. You have so many friends, Hobie, it's going to be crowded! ;)

We'll decamp to the Hyatt down the hill and leave Scooter in charge. :D:

Moochie, who is now ensconced in the Lil' Husker Suite, just told me she got a one way fare of $200 from San Jose to Maui on Alaska Air. We're seeing an unexpected jump in arrivals too.

If you're thinking about a quick getaway to the Islands, now might be the time.

There was something about that guy on the national news. I think the coast guard managed to talk him down into doing a water landing. They rescued him and he wasn't even hurt. They said he did a great job.

I hope he didn't get whiplash from that quick reverse of the plane. He did a good job of putting the plane down on the water. Wonder how much he's going to have to reimburse the CG for that one-hour escort service and rescue. Or is that considered a public service?

Poor planning on the pilot's part, or maybe he ran into unexpected headwinds.

We took a 6-month-old Afghan hound to Hawaii when we moved there and she spent 4 months in quarantine. We visited her every few days and one of the techs fell in love with her and kept her groomed and exercised for us. When we moved back to the mainland 10 years later, we brought a Saluki and an Irish Setter with us. The airline baggage loaders set their crates next to the plane in the full sun. I had the desk personnel call down and move them into the shade. I'm sure the trip was stressful for them but we didn't want to leave them behind. They survived and made the cross-country drive to Florida with us. I did have to leave my Arabian mare behind but managed to find her a good home before we left.
