At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

You women are incorrigable!!

Women go for vampires and the beast from Beauty And The Beast.

Oh, and The Count from Sesame Street! :p:
Oh come on ladies, this vampire is really cute! The books are actually well written and have kept my attention. I even missed my other favorite hunk, Dr. House last night because I was enthralled with the story. I am halfway through Book 3 now and I finished both Book 1 and 2 between Saturday night and yesterday. They say it it is a series for teens and it is, but it is also very good reading.
What I really like about the teens she writes are that they are clean cut in many ways, no drugs, no swearing, no sex or any of that. Yeah she writes the perfect world. Very unrealistic. BUT, the stories remind me so much of the Disney Princess stories. Everything is so perfect, the prince is the most handsome of all and it is all so unrealistic with the happily ever after crap.... You know, the damsel in distress bit with the VERY handsome Prince coming along to save her, even if that means in this case he turns her into a vampire at the end of the series. Yeah, I cheated. I read the compendium before I knew what I was doing and the reveal was all there. Too late to unknow it, it will be interesting to hear her describe this young normal high school teen as a perfect vampire later.
But the stories DO remind me a bit of the Princess fairytales, just how everything is perfect and how love will conquer all. Yeah, we all know that love ain't gonna save ya when he has garlic breath and stinky feet and snores in real life...heeheehee...But of course in the fairytales the princes would NEVER do that, right?

My prince, Ralphie said he would even go with me if I wanted him to to see the movie. We'll go to a matinee and try to see it when all the kiddies are back in school after Thanksgiving break.
I read an article that they need to make 150 mil on this first picture to justify doing the three sequels.
Anyway, it IS good reading and the vampire is cute, so I am happpy. I LOVE reading and have been enjoying just being buried in a book again. :)
Princess Susi, maybe a vamp, but not a vampire...at least yet anyway! :p:

You know I think the same young actor played that role as well. Robert Pattinson? I never saw him as Cedric, but I believe he did play that role.JugglingFreak wrote:Cedric Diggory became a vampire after Voldemort killed him?
Oh No!!! He's already being typecast! ;)
