Thanks for lettin' me join you, MS. I just kinda butted in there, but couldn't resist since it involved a trip to Maui and a chance to meet Hobie. ;)
We had a rescue greyhound on the Mainland. He was a 35 mph couch potato. My FIL stood about 6"4". Mac would get on his hind legs and be face to face with him. He loved everyone and lived to get his ears scratched.
My wife was afraid he wouldn't make the flight to Maui due to stress and heat once he got here so we found a home for him with two nurses who already had a female rescue. Mac lived high on the hog with them and got to run with their horses. He lived to the ripe old age of fifteen. He was a good dog and a great friend.

Hummmm, don't think so. Can't even picture this in my mind. ;) I'll take Scooter & the couch. Anyway, hobie promised me if I was in his area the gates to his estate would be open & dogs waiting. Couch is more me Kman. :) Oh wait! Where can we put Ernie? If Kman & I go, Ernie will follow. He is a Kman fan.

Loves hobie also.

Love the name! And I don't trust people who won't pet a dog looking for attention. ;)

If there is a recliner I'll take that, it'd be like sleeping on a plane, but better!

Her "official" name is Front Street Party Girl as she was born in a jewelry store on the main drag in Lahaina and she's black and grey. The breeder called her Streeter for short.
That name didn't roll off the tongue very easy so it didn't take long before our daughter started calling her Scooter. She really lives up to the name as she's a very busy little pooch.
