~Long live the Heelies thread~
Wow! I haven't had time to get on here in forever and this thread is still here! I think I originally posted on the 1st page back in January!!

Interested what you said was the reason they stopped them. With us, they became forbidden at school because of the alcohol content of the extract. Even in elementary school, though, I remember thinking you'd have to suck on a LOT of toothpicks to get drunk!
Amen! "Everyone's special, Dash." "Which is another way of saying no one is."
We would make them and sell them at my school. 10 toothpicks wrapped in tin foil for 25 cents! They were banned at my school because one kid made them too strong and a bunch of kids had cinnamon oil burns inside their mouths.

Our local paper does graduation announcements which are bad enough but now they have people putting kid's pictures in for kindergarten and pre-k.
I swear I saw one that read "Congratulations to XX for graduating kindergarten. We are so proud of you. XX wants to be a chef when he grows up."
Yeah, great accoplishment. He made it all thru kindergarten and as for the occupation, he plays with his play-dough and makes them hamburger patties. Therefore, he's going to be a chef.
I know of schools that FORCE parents to invite every kid in the classroom to a birthday party or give valentines to everyone. Now, it's no fun to be the picked on kid and I feel bad but c'mon. Yeah, I had a crush on someone in grade school. Guess what? He didn't invite me to his birthday party. Did I go all Carrie/prom night on him? No, I grew up fine (I think :D: )

Smoochie, you remind me of seeing the new graduations they've started doing since I was in school (and it's scary how close behind me they were). You have the Eighth Grade Graduations, the Sixth Grade Graduations (or Fifth Grade, depending on where your community draws that line).
That's not to say I don't believe in having an Eighth Grade Graduation... but that's where you get out of school a day early and play putt putt golf, not have a big ol' ceremony and get your picture in the paper.
But you have to be kidding me that they're doing Kindergarten graduations. What's next?
Wait, don't answer that.

Now to bring this thread back on topic. I was crossing Main Street the other day and what did I see, the dreaded and until now possibly fictional adult heelies. Yep, a man was cruising down Main Street pushing a stroller while gliding on heelies. Unfortunately, he was too far away for me to catch him and tell him that skating is strictly prohibited in Disneyland. I was just shocked, one that he had them and would wear them and basically act just like all the kids that presumably don't know any better, but also that he was pushing a stroller while doing it, cause that's clearly a safe thing to do.

Yup I posted some time back that I had seen adults wearing them here in the DC area. The guys looked like they had 3 brain cells between them anyway so the hellies were just right for them.
I fear for you guys, the kids are bad the adults I fear will be much worse to deal with

How long will it be before one of these "adult" SG's fall on his rear, then tries to sue Disney for "uneven road surface" or some other equally insipid reason.

OMG! the only thing worse than a 60 pound kid cutting off my wheelchair in Hellies (spelling intentional) is a 200 pound galute pushing a stroller cutting off my wheelchair in Hellies!!!
And you know it Pirate, it won't be long before the suits start coming in then maybe Disney will HAVE to ban the idiot contraptions from the parks because legal will make them.
And how long until someone wearing them starts ripping off purses?
