So when asked how many int he party, we told them three, since that's how many people were going to be riding. The CM looked at my party with a confused look and asked if we were sure of that number. We told him yes, and explained the situation. He seemed okay with it, but I felt bad for slowing down the grouping process.
I think that may have been best in that situation because they were able to get an accurate account of who was actually going to be riding, but I am not in a situation to make that kind of call. Someone who has done grouping should be along at some point to give their thoughts on the matter.

Of course, I also noticed that this is your first post, so allow me toe be the first to offer you a very warm* welcome to that piece of the internet known far and wide(okay, probably not so much) as SGT! A member of the Marsupial Welcoming Committee should be along to make it official, but they may be busy welcoming all of the other new comers we have had lately as there have been a great number of them.

*by warm I really mean hot**, extremely hot

**by hot I actually mean that you are now literally on fire and would like to apologize for any inconvenience

What you did I would say is fine, the only thing you could've done differently (and I've done it) is answer 3 and 1 chicken, or something along those lines.

That's the way I do it when someone in my party isn't riding. That way the CMs will know how many to direct to a row and can direct the non-rider to the proper area.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

I still laugh that the ToT chicken exit is an elevator -- that didn't help much to settle down my freaked-out child when we took it many years ago!

Madame_Leota,
:welcome: to :sgt: from :wallaby: and :wombat: !!! :D: :D: :D:

That's exactly the response we used at Mission: Space for my friend. Must've been the first time the CM heard it, because he honestly cracked up laughing. ;)

Yep, it was WDW. That was in 2003, and I still haven't ridden it there! (I did get to finally ride at DCA this past summer, though, and loved it.)

Welcome, Madame Leota

And I answer the same way as mentioned above....something along the lines of "two riders and one chicken". Although, I will have to admit....it's been a long time since I've done that....my hubby rides almost everything now for our children....he even rode TOT!

I just started reading the first few pages of this thread and I've got to admit I can't even follow how screwed up some of these stories are. Now if you asked me what color undies I was wearing, I can see needing to think about it, but how many in your party? good grief!
