Just got a chance to watch this (and kept an eye out for the guy in the red shirt). Looks like a great bunch of kids and a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.hobie16 wrote:We have the eighth graders from the local Catholic school in for five Thursdays to learn how to sail. This video is from week two.
The little blond who says, "Cuz we're awesome." about sailing a Bic is one of the best sailors we've had in our program. This is her fourth year sailing.

Just got back from week three. W launched all the boats so the kids were on their own. Light air but they're getting better.WEDFan wrote:Just got a chance to watch this (and kept an eye out for the guy in the red shirt). Looks like a great bunch of kids and a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
We'll spend next week in the small boats and then take them out on some 30 to 45 footers in week five.
Not yet but we've got a few smart asses in every class.ktulu wrote:Anyone yelling "stop playing with your dingy!"?

I would but black is too hot and the good father who sent his Catholic kids over might not get the humor. Adult sailing classes are another matter however...DisneyMom wrote:Ktulu, if Hobie wants to ride around on an inflatable dinghy in a red shirt, it's his choice...... ;)
