DisneyMom wrote:How cool, Susi! It was a very funny show! Did he let you play the fiddle, or is that part new(audience member plays the fiddle)? I wish my mom would go, she actually plays one and was in her own band for a while, and got to meet
some famous country/bluegrass players.
Now you know why I am such a Hillbilly-genetic! :D:
No, did not get to play the fiddle, that must be new, we did not have that part of the show. But he would come over to where I was sitting and make faces at me and laugh and yell at me! I was howling! He was cute too, without the hillbilly teeth! hehehe

Berkeley must have gotten the idea of the mini street cleaners from Paris. They've got these guys dressed in bright green out cleaning the sidewalks and streets every morning.

We had plenty of head shops in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. With Ken Kesey up the hill...

We had Kepler's for books and World's Indoor Records for old vinyl. World's got wiped out by Tower Records. They were HUGE!

We finally got a full sized Barnes & Noble on this end of the island. Civilization at last!

Ah, I like the old bookstores! They are so much fun to go into and sit down among the stacks and read. Although I do admit, Barnes is great for ordering new books and getting them fast! I like Amazon for that reason as well.

We have a huge home library! HUGE! Thousands of books which are so much fun to pack up and move...NOT! But I will not leave my books behind or give them away! I LOVE books and reading.

Randy
Hmmm good idea. We could start a thread and put them on it! (of course, block the face!)

"Randy's SG hall of shame!!"

cooool!!

Why block their faces? (of course, I still haven't managed to post the SG's pic from last trip, still trying to get kids to help me out:rolleyes :)

Horrifying video on YouTube called something like "Racist Guest At Disneyland"
I hope offender gets embarrassed at the very least. The person posting did have a pretty good sense of humor, making fun of the offender.

Fat guy loses weight, sues jail. If this was out he'd probably be an SG.

LOL Tis a shame, he no longer looks like a obese beady eyed criminal. Instead he just an overweight beady eyed criminal.

DUDE! Meghyn prints better then he does. Yeesh! I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that maybe his schooling lacked proper instruction in handwriting. >>>>NO I"M NOT!

Yeah, that's one of the things I miss about LA: Acres of Books in Long Beach. It's almost the only reason I've *ever* been to that town. The one other time was the last day of operation of the Pacific Electric. Rode the last of the Big Red Cars downtown just to have lunch at Chason's, and to say that I did.

Tell me about it! Moving to Tennessee we shipped 120 boxes of books. Moving to Florida I rented a truck and made three trips. Not sure I *dare* move again.

And of course, now I'm in charge of a library that's in storage. Somebody else moved it it, but I get to move out about 800 1.5' boxes, sixteen file cabinets, a 5' tall stack of map drawers, and a marble statue of Caesar Augustus that's taller than I am, plus a museum collection about the same size... once we find a place and the money to buy it. <sigh> So much for retirement!
