Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Why is 1 a lonely number?
Because Three Dog Night said so:
One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one

No is the saddest experience you'll ever know
Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know
`Cause one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
One is the loneliest number, worse than two

It's just no good anymore since she went away
Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

One is the loneliest, number one is the loneliest
Number one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
One is the loneliest, one is the loneliest
One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
It's just no good anymore since she went away
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

Put Down The Duckie sung by Ernie (Jim Henson) and Hoots the Owl (Kevin Clash)

Ernie: Excuse me, Mr. Hoots
I hate to bug a busy bird
But I want to learn the sax
And I need a helpful word
I always get a silly squeak
When I play the blues

Hoots: Ernie, keep your cool
I'll teach ya how to blow the sax
I think I dig your problem
It's rubber, and it quacks
You'll never find the skill you seek
Till you pay your dues

You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Yeah, you gotta leave the duck alone
You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
If you wanna play the saxophone!

You didn't hear a word I said
You gotta get it through your head
Don't be a stubborn cluck
Ernie, lay aside the duck!
I've learned a thing or two
From years of playing in a band
It's hard to play a saxophone
With something in your hand
To be a fine musician
You're gonna have to face the facts

Though you're blessed with flying fingers
When you wanna wail, you're stuck
What good are flying fingers
If they're wrapped around a duck?
Change the toy's position
If you wanna ace the sax!

You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Yeah, you gotta leave the duck alone
You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
If you wanna play the saxophone!

Don't have to put it on a train
Don't have to wash it down the drain
Don't have to lock it in a drawer
Don't have to shove it out the door
Don't have to stuff it in your pocket
Or send it flyin' in a rocket!
Don't have to get it out of town!
Ernie, put the quacker down!

You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Yeah, you gotta leave the duck alone
You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
If you wanna play the saxophone!

You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Yeah, you gotta leave the duck alone
You gotta put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
Put down the duckie
If you wanna play the saxophone!

HA! Thats a good one, will have to get the band to practice that one!!

I was thinking of the original Rubber Ducky song! That looks like a follow up to the mega-hit!!

It actually is a sequel to Ernie's orginal and is SOOOOO cute and funny when you actually see it performed on the show.

YEEESH.....Thanks load PURP Now I got the damn thing stuck in my head.

Side note, my landlord has Rubber Ducky as his hold music on his cell. Told ya he is very laid back. I had a hysterical laughing fit the first time I heard it and could talk when he did answer. This is also the man who has as his voice mail, the message (not verbatim but close) "Press 1 if you speak English, if you dont speak English you need to learn it of go back to where you came from" Not PC but funny.

Be kind to your web footed friends
For a duck may be somebody's mother
Be kind to your friends in the swamp
Where the weather is very very domp
Now you may think that this is the end
Well it is

Looking for a unique duck (whoops almost put an "i" instead of a "u") song I came across this site
http://www.kiddyhouse.com/Farm/ducks.html

Everything you have ever wanted to know about ducks ---well if you are like in elementary school. LOL

I may do a unit on them for Meghyn--I noticed D is one of the letters she tends to get stuck on recognizing. HEY! I could incorporate Donald into it. How perfectly Disney is that? OH wait Disney starts with D ,but she already knows that word. LOL

Actually I need to find the one site I came across once that had where you could make Disney part of every lesson you do practically. HMMM...time to go search. Speaking of Donald I need to also work on my photopass pics to order them by April 23.
