I want to do what I can to recognize those of you who make the magic,
but I also can't see my family wanting to wait for me to do so on the way
out of the park after a long day!

ETA - sorry, just realized this is in the DLR Forum. Hope it applies to
Florida too.
Here at WDW, we'll take compliments where ever we can get them. I've
taken a couple written comments from guests on Town Square who
weren't willing to wait in the City Hall queue. You can be sure I made
sure they got through to the CMs who deserved them!

So what's the drill at DL?

At DLR a guest goes to City Hall & submits a written CM Compliment. The
CM Compliment can be for CMs of Disney Land or DCA. DCA has Guest
Services where a compliment can be left. Can be used for either park
also. CM Compliment can be turned in @ any of the Disney hotels. If a
guest found the correct lead or dept. manager I'm sure they would listen
& take a written compliment to the dept. All CM Compliments must go
through City Hall first - this is my understanding.

if you're a CM and you want to compliment another CM, you have to do it through your manager.

Or you can cheat like I do and put down my mom's name, or sister's
name, or any other female I can think of. Or if I'm in a group with other
people, I just make someone else in the group fill it out. I mean I
understand that they're trying to avoid CM's giving compliments/concerns
because they like/dislike someone on a personal level, but if it's a
completely different department, it's a smaller chance that I know the
person.

The manager that i sent the complement to said that he usually makes a bigger deal out of it than he does when it's a guest complementing.

Thanx for the answers. There were so many CMs who made our last trip
magical, but I didn't do much more than thank them. I'll do my best to
turn in some compliments on my next trip.

If you *really* want to make somebody's day, get some WWWD pins and
present them to deserving CMs.

Oops, I just checked the website, and it's been taken down by
cybervandals. Looks like it may take a couple of weeks to repair all the
damage and repost. Worth the wait.
