I don't have a problem with it, since it is clearly stated that it's just during sit-down dinner service, and there's no take-away at all. And, it's all pretty fancy and expensive...even the beers are imports only. It's not like people are going to be swilling Bud by the gallon. ;) I can't see how it will create any atmosphere change at all.
I think what's annoying me about all the discussions elsewhere on this topic is the assumption that alcohol = drunken chaos everywhere. Yes, on occasion where there is alcohol there will be a badly behaved drunk or two. But tarring everyone who happens to want to have a beer or a glass of wine with dinner with that same "drunk" brush is unfair. Not all drinkers, or even anywhere near a majority of them, will turn into the stereotypical drunks. (Especially at Disney prices!) It's no different than claiming that all kids will be badly behaved, or that all scooter drivers will be dangerous, or whatever other stereotype you can drag out. It's just a beer with dinner. Board X needs to get over it already. :D:

The only thing I would worry about is someone drinking a few beers, then walking out into the heat and not realizing that they could get dehydration from substituting alcohol for water. especially if they do the commando running from attraction to attraction and are in a hot enviroment they are not used too!
although I think the epcot experience, you could do the same thing, and I don't think I have heard too many instance of that happening.
or they are just not giving out that info!

So I've seen the beer menu from Be Our Guest and it's pretty good. Kronenbourg 1664, Hoegaarden Wit, Saison Dupont, and Chimay Blue are well above your average beer offerings. And the prices were not completely outrageous. So if they HAVE to offer beer at the Magic Kingdom, at least it's GOOD beer.

It kills me how people think only foreign beers are "good" beers. I happen to prefer Budweiser. Even though its no longer an American Beer.

They have been owned by Belgian company InBev since 2007. Like many other brands, the location of the breweries may have nothing to do with the location of the owners. One of the largest Canadian micro brews, Sleeman, is owned by Sapporo of Japan.
