Last time I worked Fantasmic! (labor day last night -sniff-) I worked under the lead of Tim. We were off stage for the 1st hour of our shift. He told us for the 15 minutes we were on stage that if he caught us talking to other CMs he would lynch us (well not those exact words but whatever). We then took a tour of the sections looking at maps and going to the balcony over the riverbell. Then at 8pm we actually did work....

Yeah, there is nothing until like around 7:30 or 8:00 when you have to put up the steating and standing ropes.

Yeah D section is a healthy needed break from the chaos I endured in B section the night before. B section is hell, D is sleepy time, C is easy, A can get hectic when we're running the 8pm parade.
Wait wasn't this thread about grouping?

I like "B" section better, more action. Never was too fond of "D" section, either. But, I most of the time was placed in "A" Section.

So I was out doing land help for parades and I was with Dennis. GMC waves me over on the Parade route and says "You're with Dennis right?" I said "Yeah..." "Have him send you on a scavenger hunt!" I was all  I proceeded to warn Dennis how word of his scavenger hunts leaked out. Dennis laughed. The GMC was dissapointed cause I didn't want to go on a scavenger hunt. I love you GMC!!!

well you see i just about crapped myself b/c i saw dennis coming down main street towards me, and i thought either A, he'd seen me talking to you adn was going to send us on one, or B you'd told him to send me on one. i of course would have declined because i was on a construction wall and was considered a required safety position. Funny thing, some woman, not angry (think she thought it was funny actually) was trying to get across right when the blue fairy was approaching and told she'd have to wait, so she goes and tries the other guy, and tries all the way up and down the rehab wall, and tries to dart into one of the scenes, whats even worse, is that she tried to dart within inches of me, and thought that because i was talking to someone. So she ducks under the rope and gets to the curb (the rope is directly above the curb, so nowhere) and i just reflexed, stuck my hand out, somehow turned her around with only my fingers and w/o moving them from her same shoulder, and put her back on the other side of the rope said no crossing, it was just all one big reflex action, i felt pretty cool afterwards.
Oh and that night you guys were playing war, i was Indy land help, i was afraid to walk though adventureland or approach entrances, for fear of capture, even though attractions host/hostesses were probly off limits. i did get nervous when Fantasmic! 35 called my lead and asked for him to bring his landhelp over to help with the split, but 35 10-22ed, or something, and instead we warded off people trying to walk by a mysterious package. i have such lame posts.

Sounds like fun. Oh that would have been hot if Dennis sent you guys on a scavenger hunt. I then would have never heard the end of it from you.
This is on a random note but funny none the less. Dennis likes to cooridinate his cast members on the parade route. He sent his two Splash people up to the hub (one of them was a parade lead but was not working as a lead) and kept his Pirate and Mansion peoples down at coke corner. So it was CC at the Hub and NOS at Town Square. I've done parades with Dennis so many times that he just hands me a bone and says "Set this up"

they have me "train" new hires on how to set up new areas, mainly City Hall, but i'm proficeint on the east, and could wing it on west, but if they were to give me showcase/hatter, i'd have to have them show me how to do it agian.
