The goddess's voice sounds like Eleanor Audley's, who did the voice of the original Madame Leota, but it could be Susanne Blakeslee, who succeeded her and did the voice recordings for Leota for Haunted Mansion Holiday. But that isn't the only voice from the Haunted Mansion you'd hear at other attractions....

Well, at DL's at least, I know one of the god's voices is none other than Thurl Ravenscroft, who has voiced anything from "Buff" the buffalo head from the Country Bear Jamboree to a some singing pirates in Pirates of the Carribean. Aside from the Polynesian God he voices, he also voices (voiced?) Fritz, the parrot with a German accent and a singing frog in Splash Mountain. His most famous (and noticeable) role would be of one of the singing busts from the Haunted Mansion. He even did some singing for It's a Small World as a bass.

He also did narrations for the Disneyland Railroad and Mark Twain Riverboat, but I think they have since been replaced. He also did various work in several Disney movies as well. And of course, we all knew him for Tony the Tiger and "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!" too.

Yup...he did quite a bit of work. :D:

Oh, that brings back a memory. I can't really say anything here, but suffice it to say that the guest in question was a moron to think they even had a case.

Sorry, Mr. D. I would love to tell the story, I even had it typed out and ready to send. And then I decided I could get in some legal trouble for breathing a word. Suffice it to say it was a guest claiming that because of an evac, their son was now deathly afraid of something that, honestly, they should have been using long before it was ever an issue, and should have got hurt on. Further, since the parent got a picture from seconds before it happened (and when I evac I tell people no pictures and that IS one of the reasons... I could really care less about the underside of a roller coaster making it to YouTube) means that they were busy taking pictures, not helping their child through the track next to a roller coaster track, which while safe to walk, does require your attention.

Oh, and before we raise any lap bars, the first thing we do is check to make sure everyone is comfortable, first with the three and a half foot drop from the floor of the coaster to the ground. Should they answer yes, no one but no one gets off that train until Reedy Creek arrives.

I think I covered it without giving any details, other than the fact that this complaint was coming months after the issue, and this was the first that anyone had heard of it.

We had to evac Thunder once. It stopped at the top of the first lift (right under the water fall) and we sat for about 10 mins. They got it going again and when we got to the load/unload everyone chanted "Go again", so they sent us out again. It stopped on the first lift again for about 2 mins, then got going and got to the 2nd lift and that was the end. after sitting for about 5 mins we were evac'ed. I was about 13 at the time, bu tit was the coolest thing to walk down the steps and into the mountain. I will never forget it. Never thought about taking photos, but then I am not a SG like that anyway.

Hmm. A cascade back to A Lift is an interesting thing. I've never heard of anyone sitting there for more than a few seconds. Well, not without walking back to the platform.

They sent a CM there to check a panel there and it didn't work. He took his cowboy hat off and held it over the guest that was getting dripped on. :)
