Nope. They've gotta have flowers on them to be Hawaiian shirts. Sailboats and swordfishies don't count. They should be bright, too, like your flashing fluorescent thingy you posted the other day.

Just a note- Having seen some of Zazu's Hawaiian shirts, I would advise not driving afterward as you will be unable to see in color for several hours. Wouldn't want anyone having trouble with traffic lights.

I arrived about 4:05 or so, and found Zazu outside Trader Sam's talking on his cellphone. Zazu was in his red Can I ER? shirt, with a white stylized mouse beside the words Can I ER?

CBeilby was sick, and couldn't make it, however I asked Zazu if he could spot me something to take home to my hubby, and he said yes. He also told me Kim and SWMBO were inside at a table, and I found them and ordered a Skipper's Sipper, after Zazu came back inside from his all important phone call.

After a while Lady Ulrike and her little princess came in, and sat at the table next to the table I shared with SWMBO, Kim and Zazu. Different sounds and music abound in that place, and when someone ordered a Krakatoa Punch or a Shipwreck alcoholic beverage loud noises caused the little princess to hold her ears and want to go home. Krakatoa Punch causes a view from a couple magic windows of a view of a couple of mountains to erupt, and the Shipwreck caused a ship in a bottle to go through a storm and sink.

Kim took Zazu and I around showing us pictures, objects in Trader Sam's, written messages linking various things around Disneyland. One note for Trader Sam, was supposedly from Rick from Casablanca, and another was from Yale Gracey. A picture on one wall was supposedly Dr. Porter, and his daughter Jane before they went off into the jungle exploring and going to find out about Gorillas.

Around 5PM, CujoSr, showed up as well, and caused one of the Krakatoa Punch sound effects to go off. The souvenir china Tiki cup that comes with the punch, also has a waterproof cube that changes color if one squeezes it between one's fingers. The cube makes the ice and alcohol in the drink glow red, like lava.

Cujo, LadyUlrike and her little princess, decided to play in the park, and Zazu, SWMBO, Kim, and I decided we were going to head next door just to the right on the huge porch to eat at the Tangaroa Terrace.

We sat at a table with a view of a new pool under construction. When one enters the Tangaroa Terrace one finds a touchpad with two language buttons, English and Spanish, and then once the language has been chosen pictures of more selections appear, Sandwiches, Appetizer sort of things and a kids meal selection pops up. Once one presses what they like and touches Select, the machine prints out the order, and one can get some things like bottled drinks and other prepackaged snacks beside the things they have ordered.

Zazu and SWMBO had ribs, which come with rice, and panko bread crumb covered green beans, Kim had a flat bread and I had an Asian chicken salad. I tried a piece of Kim's flat bread and it was good, and so was the Asian chicken salad. I also got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries to go for my husband.

After we finished eating, Kim,Zazu, SWMBO and I walked into one of the other hotel buildings, and saw a model of Thunder Mountain Railroad in a large glass box.(It needs dusting.)

After that, we walked back through Downtown Disney, and up to the Stroller/wheelchair station so that SWMBO would be able to get wheeled to World of Color and not strain her legs more.

It was there, that we parted ways, I to bring food to my husband, and They to go into Disney's California Adventures. Zazu said he would be seeing this in two weeks, once he returns home.

Thus ends the tale of how Purpura met Zazu, (and CujoSr )

Thanks for the trip report, Purpura. I hope y'all had a good time. Zazu and SWMBO should be just about to New Orleans by now, and we'll meet them for dinner in Pensacola when they swing through here Tuesday evening. I hope the restaurant we've selected won't be a letdown for them after dining in Nawlins for a couple days.

I think we did have a good time. :)
