Yup...you're right. The website I originally saw the report on has edited it to say Sports instead.BriDon51 wrote:I heard it was All Star Sports that are putting RFID chips in the souvenir cups and their paper cups also
I'm not sure about the exact technology involved, but basically the soda machine won't work unless the cup you are using has one of the chips in it, and the chips are programmed to only work for a set length of time, such as the length of your current stay in the case of the refillable cups.GaTechGal wrote:How do those chipped cups work?
Don't forget Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana where all drinks all day are free. :D:Freak wrote:I think its because Six Flags Magic Mountain still does refills on their large souvenir cups (free refills all day, via a wristband given @ purchase). Guests think if one park does it, then all of them probably do.
Universal Orlando, Sea World Orlando, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay all have a similar thing. At least around here Disney is the odd one out for that kind of thing.Freak wrote:I think its because Six Flags Magic Mountain still does refills on their large souvenir cups (free refills all day, via a wristband given @ purchase). Now, that's REALLY a "don't give Disney any ideas" sort of thing.delsdad wrote:But the bathrooms cost 4$ a visit ??
