The Loop Trainer was a good ride. I remember the Corkscrew closed down and the Boardwalk area was starting to be rebuilt. That happened when I was in ROP. The Boomer-rang is bumpy. Extreme plunge, I would not go on it. If I wanted to get soaked, I would go and hang out on the bridge looking at the boats coming down the steep hill. :)

Yeah, the loop trainer ripped too, it was right next to the ride I am talking about.

As a little kid I loved feeding the seals (yes feeding the seals), the petting zoo and the chicken that played the piano....

My parents used to take me (and later my little brother) to the lake across from Knott's. Sometimes that was all we did-we wouldn't go inside to Knott's. There was no Camp Snoopy then. We would ride the train, the merry-go-round, and feed the ducks. I remember the burro ride ,but I was a little intimadated by the size of them. ( I think I was three and the horse loving bug hadn't kicked in yet. :) ) I never rode them.
Later we would look at the shops, and either eat at CDR or get the chicken to take home. It was great.
It was a sad day when we drove down to Knott's and the lake was gone. :(
They took paradise and put up a parking lot.

Does anyone remember the aligator (sp) farm across the street? There would be shows and the trainers would feed the gators raw chicken meat. :)
