Stupid Guest Tricks

We did some reservations in advance, but made some at the concierge while we were down there (and yes, it was between New Year's and Christmas). We were able to get a day of reservation at Boma. Yak and Yeti on the 30th was literally a walk in. However, we knew that it might be hard to get reservations due to the crowds and went in with that in mind and several back up plans that included quick service. The only thing we were not able to do was the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I wanted to wait until I had the money in my bank account and by then it was too late (still a month ahead of time.) I did check mulitple times while were there in case somebody cancelled. We ended up doing the Backstage Safari and UnDISCOVERED Future World instead. Those were neat for both of us since there was a lot of stuff I hadn't known about either park since htey weren't my "home" park.

I think needing to make reservations 180 days out is nuts, but even I know better than to delay making reservations ANYWHERE for the week or so around Christmas and New Years. Yeesh!

For what it's worth, I though you were very helpful. :thumbup: How come The Wave is so often available? All the reviews I've seen were positive, yet it doesn't seem a very popular venue. :drown

My guess is that it may not be well known to the tourists so they go to the places they hear about. I had never heard of The Wave before so it's a possibility.

The current iteration is positive. Let's just say that it's not the most profitable joint around.

Since we are talking restaurants and reservations here. When we've visited the parks it's always been counter service for us. I stopped in a few of the table service places and looked at the menu prices and was kind of shocked. Now, I'm a "frugal" kind of guy, and with three princesses and the head princess to feed that's five people.

When I'm in a small town I always ask the folks that live there where to eat. Or look for the place with the squad cars out front. That either means they have good food or a pretty waitress. But I digress. As CMs, what places are worth the reservation and the price? We ate at Joe's Crab Shack one night and still dropped 100 bucks, so perhaps I'm expecting too much.

well if $100 isn't in your budget for dinner then your best bet would be Golden Corral, Denny's, Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans...all are centrally located around WDW

Ah, she knows that I do look, but she also knows that there is really no interest behind it. If I call some lady hot (or if Little Wallaby calls some guy hot) we do it in much the same appreciation we might have for a beautiful horse, orca, kangaroo or other creature. Acknowledgment of beauty, nothing else.

And for those who might get offended at me comparing a person's beauty to that of a horse, the word I had there at first was dog, but I figured someone might take my statement out of context and go off the deep end. Guess they still might. It's on them now.

So yeah. Horse. Or deer. Or other animal known for being beautiful.

Otherwise, if you hear me call something "cute", it's usually not a compliment.
