guys cool it or take it to a PM. I don't wanna lock any more topics.IndyandMarion wrote:Ok. Maybe its from lack of sleep or something but let me clear this little problem that I think your having (Leftcoaster).
It seems that your a little irked that I called guests dumb (or whatever it was I said). You dont know about me and the book Im constantly working on called Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga. If you did, you'd understand why I call them this.
And here's another thing that is weird to me. This site (if you haven't noticed, is for stupid guest tricks. Meaning we post stupid stuff that guests do, be it stupid questions, not following directions, whatever). Your going after me, but not the site. If your ticked about me calling them stupid or dumb, then you need to go after the entire site or just leave. In the words of Ron White: That's profilin, and profilin is wrong.
What have attractions been called?

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"
"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."
"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

Just thought I'd say that I can understand people getting the Indy name wrong.
At Disneyland Paris, there is a ride called Indiana Jones et le Temple du Peril. In English, this translates as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, so I think it's understandable that people might confuse the names of the rides.
I can also understand why some people might get some of the names wrong. You've got four parks at WDW plus the water parks, Downtown Disney and loads of hotels. That's a lot for people to remember.

Oh my oh dear....the many things I have heard attractions while working at Innoventions. Lets start out with my location.
You would think a simple word such as Innoventions could be easy. Nooo...Innovations, Inventions, the place with the video games...
Then you have Fast Track, Test Ride, Car Ride, Race Cars, That thing, etc.
You also have Mission: Space, which is commonly mistaken as Space, Mission to Mars, Mars, That new thing, etc.
Wheres Figment? Honey I Shrunk the Kids? "Well, Honey I shrunk the Audience is right over there" "Okay group Honey I shrunk the kids is this way" (Its times like that you wish you were issued a tazer)
And dont get me started about the guests who wanted to know where the entrance to the monorail was INSIDE the park just so they could ride around the park....

Add to that, Astro Orbiter (Group I was following solely for this argument said that the Astro Orbiter was Mission: SPACE while the other part said MS was AO)Dack48 wrote:You also have Mission: Space, which is commonly mistaken as Space, Mission to Mars, Mars, That new thing, etc.
And I know its nothing big (But with my deal with Indy...Youd understand if you knew me better), the name in English is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. Not Doom. But either way, guests see the words Indiana Jones and the Temple of...and most of them automatically think its "doom" to base it off the movie.
A good photograph means knowing where to stand

I work at "Honey, I Shrunk The Audience", or what many guest calls it, "Honey, I shrunk the Kids", anyways, this is slightly off topic, but I heard a fellow CM tell a story of how a guest was coming saw the three side doors, keep in mind that they all lead into the auditorium, and came back and asked which doors to enter. The CM replied, "The first door is 'It's Tough To Be A Bug', the second door is 'MuppetVision 3D' and the third and last door is 'Honey, I Shunk The Audience'", I found that hilarious!!!
everyopne that works at "honey" seems to hate it, i know at least two of your guys see their attraction once every three months, just because they hate it so much there, and you go by fantasmicdan, so i assume that you're possibly in the same boat, and just do guest control stuff to avoid ur attraction. well whatever i'm too distracted to sound intelligent right now...
Gimme some soft serve!

My goodness ... thats right ... all of the attractions can fit inside the same show building. Ya know, once a guest asked me (the entrance to the Communications Dream Fourm in Inno East) if this was the Tower of Terror. I kid you not. Also been asked if it was Spaceship Earth, or if you went into there (the theatre) you went to Test Track. Thats right, you go into there and it magicially teleports you a two minute walk. Wooo!DLRFantasmic!Dan wrote:I work at "Honey, I Shrunk The Audience", or what many guest calls it, "Honey, I shrunk the Kids", anyways, this is slightly off topic, but I heard a fellow CM tell a story of how a guest was coming saw the three side doors, keep in mind that they all lead into the auditorium, and came back and asked which doors to enter.
