I cannot drink sweet tea. I don't know how anyone can. It takes my breath away. Plain iced tea, nothing added, just cold and refreshing. Nothing beats it.
The best part of it is I can drink all I want with zero calories. Flavored teas puzzle me. If you don't like the taste of tea why do you drink it. Get lemonade or raspberry juice or whatever. I like tea because I like the taste of tea.

Yeah, my Step-Father used to tell us that when he was in the military, broke, drcorey wrote:like in the old days.
hey! can I have a bowl of hot water?
and can you pass me that bottle of ketchup too...
he'd walk into the nearest Restaurant.......
"Is Bread extra"? he'd ask....
"No".....the waitress would reply.....
"Is Gravy extra?"
"No"
"Well then, I'll have Bread and Gravy!"

My husband does this (though he doesn't use 5 packets). Sweet tea isn't always at the sweetness you like, so he prefers to have control. And real sugar does not dissolve in cold tea, but sweetener does.DonohoFlnkr wrote:Though not related, my favorite is when someone orders an unsweet tea then proceeds to put no less than 5 packets of Splenda into said Tea...at that rate, you can put in 1 packet of actual sugar and be healthier for it.

Not to mention that, if you're a diabetic, like I am, this is the only way you can have sweet tea safely.tlbwriter wrote:My husband does this (though he doesn't use 5 packets).
