Disneyland has a few places we like to cool off-Hobie's place, Tiki Room, Innoventions. Pin Traders always take up a few tables at Coke Corner, often see people resting there. Go see the Billy Show at the Golden Horseshoe as well :)
The Animation Builing at DCA is wonderful for cooling off, or just go to the Hyperion theatre and take in the Aladdin Show :genie:

You mean the benches have a name?!?!DisneyMom wrote:Disneyland has a few places we like to cool off-Hobie's place...

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I can attest that the TTA is one of THE best places in WDW to cool off and take a rest. Ktulu is right: there's always a nice breeze and we've actually stayed on for three or four cycles before (we always do more than one 'cause it never fails that one of our kids falls asleep for a few minutes!).

Agreed. I love the TTA, however, it's always gonna be the People Mover to me. ;)DragonFox98 wrote:I can attest that the TTA is one of THE best places in WDW to cool off and take a rest. We have an extremely picky eater with us. Would it be alright if we brought food for her, but the rest of us bought food and we all sat down together inside and ate? Is that SGish or not? =P

Nope, not SGis at all. However....the Cookieing Twiget wrote:We have an extremely picky eater with us. Would it be alright if we brought food for her, but the rest of us bought food and we all sat down together inside and ate? Is that SGish or not? =P
You may find that WDW chefs can make your picky eater happy. They're more than willing to come out and see what the issues are, and will make anything they have the ingredients for.
If he's supernaturally picky, you can explain what you need when you book dining reservations and special ingredients can be ordered.
Not much help if the rest of the family just wants to grab a burger, but still....

If one is supernaturally picky, does that mean that they will only attempt to eat while visiting the Haunted Mansion? Can be a little tricky balancing a plate of food in a doombuggy... ;)Zazu wrote: If he's supernaturally picky, you can explain what you need when you book dining reservations and special ingredients can be ordered.

I believe there have been some special event dinners actually held IN the mansion. Exposition Hall on Main Street in MK is my husband's favorite place to take a break and cool off. He sits in the movie theater area and chills out for a while while I take my daughter off to shop or do some rides. It is usually deserted, which he LOVES LOL.Rob562 wrote:While I'm not a fan of Guests taking up tables in a packed counter-service restaurant to the point where Guests who've bought food at that location don't have tables, I think there is definitely some kind of a middle-ground here, though.
Let's say it's a swelteringly-hot day, and you (or someone in your party) really, really needs to get out of the heat for a few minutes and just sit and rest in the A/C for fear of collapse/overheating. Where in the parks can you do that?
Apart from First Aid, there aren't a whole lot of places I can think of in the parks that are indoors and cooled, but aren't part of an attraction or eating establishment. Stores have A/C, but rarely places to sit down.
Thoughts?
