It just looked like kind of a projector on a wall after the backwards run that jumped around a little and grunted. I guess the grunting could have been DH, though.
Sounds like you missed him. We're talking about farther along where there is a large animatronic yeti. It is after you go back into the mountain from outside. He is easy to miss, especially if he isn't moving. Projector problems are easy to fix, complex animatronics are not.
Here is a picture of the yeti.
Oh, and here is a picture of the scene you're talking about.

OH, that was DEFINITELY not there!!!!!!
No way would I have missed that big ole thing! It was DH's first time on there, too. Don't think I'll tell him about this... if y'all hear about a 6'4" guy jumping in my lap, you'll know who it is!

When we went to AK in Oct 2009 we saw it. EE is a good ride. My sister liked the ride too. :)

I'm pretty sure I have only seen it in B mode; I went once in Oct 2007 and then again at the end of Sept. 2009. I know I'm missing out, but if you've never had it.....
And OMG - I totally didn't even think about glasses!!!! I just found out last Friday I need to start wearing them....all the time. I ordered them on Saturday morning (sorry....can't afford Lenscrafters) and I should have them in by this Saturday (damn holiday weekend). Here I was thinking of all the ways I would be impacted and I totally forgot about riding the rides. My goodness! (guess I won't want to loose that case)

DragonFox, try Croakie's sports retainers. They're designed to keep your glasses on in all kinds of situations... even swimming. This from someone who's had glasses since childhood.

+1 I use them for competitive sailing. As long as you slide them forward on the stems you shouldn't have any problems with loss.

Thanks, guys! This is all new to me. I started noticing the headaches about a month ago and finally went to the optomistrist (sp) last Friday. My hubby has worn glasses since he was three and he does where contacts when out of doors, but I can't even concieve putting my finger in my eye. *shudders*
Thanks for the tip....I'll start looking into getting it later this summer (I won't need it before then).

I use them at the gun range to keep protective glasses in place.
and on my sunglasses when going around DLR or WDW, going from sunlight into darkened buildings, its real handy to just take the glasses off and let them hang like a lanyard.

I believe I read somewhere that the Yeti is female. I think the Imagineers called her Beti the Yeti.
But I could have read that on The Board That Shall Not Be Named.
