I see your driving off a curb and raise you a ECV driving off a load platform at WDW (I just wont say where.)
*Since for some reason the photo wouldn't show up I'll just post the link*

I remember mom once telling me about one of her co-workers driving a forklift off of a loading dock---it didn't end well.

Cranbiz will enjoy this one. I worked for a data storage system company managing the Professional Services guys. One of their duties was to set up systems for customer trials when the customer was evaluating multiple vendor systems.
One of my techs called to tell me about a competitor's system. In between gales of laughter he described how the competitor's tech had uncrated his system and then watched it rolled off the loading dock, rotated ninety degrees in mid air, and crashed to the ground.
It appeared the competitive trial would be delayed for a while.

..and knowing this group, NOT a kill switch that takes out the rider!
Some of them have a bar on the back that essentially shifts the drive wheels into neutral. (I'm sure CMs who have had to relocate one when the owner wasn't around know all about this) Might take some practice, but I'm sure you could go up behind it and flip it into neutral without them noticing. Would definitely keep them occupied for a while...

I don't know about the ECVs at WDW, but I wouldn't want to try it on ours, considering it's right next to the wheel.

Agreed. Much easier to just take out the key and toss it in the nearest trash can.

Ours are the same. You have to reach up under the fender to reach the lever which is right by the wheel. It also wouldn't be a real good idea to do it on any ECV I would think as it could possibly cause damage to it as they are not designed to go to neutral while moving.
Like Zazu said it is a lot easier and safer to just grab the key out. Minus the throwing the key in the trash he's told me that is pretty much policy for when someone is driving an ECV recklessly.

That's too funny! Gives new meaning to the phrase "system crash"
Now is that covered under the support agreement or is it considered a DOA?
EMC maybe?

A lot of the off site rentals have the manual release as a pull knob on the back and they are actually quite easy to get at. There are some that have a lever and those are harder to use.
I opt for throwing the key into Bay Lake.
