Hello there, Bru! I finally transferred out of QSR and have been working at The Great Movie Ride for about a month now. It is the best job I have ever had and I just love working there. I also received my 1 year service pin last week and wear it on my nametage with pride. :D:

For Narnia! And for Aslan!

All of my favorite Disney characters up above there. :p:

Considering she said no comments from the Peanut gallery and neither one of us is a peanut, I think we're safe.

Am I ever coherent when I post on here?

Hi Bru! Man, have I missed reading your posts. Sorry to hear about your infection and hopefully it will clear up quickly. You've got enough on your plate without all those little extras that keep popping up.

What a great post you've made - we get to read updates from lots of SGT members and hear all the good (and bad) news. So glad to hear Zazu and Notatourist are doing well.

Not much new here - just got back from a few days in San Antonio to see my daughter-in-law and grandkids, who all had coughs and runny noses. No symptoms here, so far. We're going camping this weekend at our horse club's 24th annual competitive trail ride in the Blackwater State Forest. Riders coming in from all over the southeast to compete. We members have to work the ride so we don't get to compete. My horse Gidget is still alive after being diagnosed with a tumor in her right bronchial tube. She's on meds and doing okay for now. Congratulations to your daughter and her blue ribbon at the horse show!

Got two trips to WDW planned, one in mid-May with my sister and some friends and one in November with a big family group. Hope to run into a few SGT'ers while we're there.

Take care of yourself, Miss Bru. We miss you around here and hope you'll soon be back to posting full-time.

Hugs, Wazz, so glad to see you my friend! I'm glad you like the thread I hope people will keep it alive with updates as time goes on. A good kinda catch all for the "hey were did everybody go?" kind of posts cause I know I wonder when I haven't been around or seen someone post in awhile. Been great to get the updates.

My kid is in another horse show this weekend- I hope to get to go this time cause of the unseasonable warm snap that is due to end with more snow on Sunday. It's 68 freaking degrees here today- it's brilliant- I don't know how I'll bear giving it up again for the rest of winter which will be returning any minute I know...

I wanted to congratulate disneyprincess too on her job transfer and that beyootiful one year pin! huge hugs- thank you for making magic for your guests.

I love GMR- had dreams of working there back in the day. I wanted to be the first female Mugsy. Course back in '89 they said "there will never be a female Mugsy..."...

I'm still battling the beast here- on the mend but still so exhausted I keep falling asleep (and thanks for reminding me I don't need to be coherent to post here guys, I have been away too long! :p :) just call me Sleeping Bru-ty.

Bad, bad bad. Sorry.

time for dinner (and more caffeine.)

xoxo

Glad to see you back Bru! Hope things start to look up for you.

Great to here the good news from Zasu and Notatourist!

Feline, so sorry you have to go thru all that.

As for me, I was laid off in December, and have posted, I think a totally of like 12 times between then, and my full return yesterday. I still haven't found a new job. My Grandfather died on Christmas Day after a long battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Today would have been his 73rd birthday.

But I did just have an interview with GE today, and I have another with a contracting company tomorrow, and my live in boyfriend Jake made Employee of the Month at Kohls. So it's not all bad.

8^)

Oh, Mayo, am so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Grandparents are supposed to live forever.

My grandma's birthday is coming up in a couple days and even though she's been gone five years now, it still gets to me.

((((((Hugs))))))

Will be keeping a good thought for you on the job thing- my husband did the whole forced to change jobs thing last year and at the height of all my medical stuff at the time and we were lucky that he found another job...

I am under orders from my kid to tell you that your signature is the 'coolest thing in the world!!!' She's a huge Doctor fan. We all are actually.

In fact, there has been great debate in my household (since I went to the Genetics department at the university last fall and they said I do indeed have some sort of 'syndrome' akin to Marfans that's why I'm falling apart) that I am in fact a Time Lady beyond the time to renerate.

In evidence: I wear Converse tennis shoes everywhere (pink, specifically)
I often wear long coats.
I have very large eyes.
I have in fact been photographed in a Phone Box (in Epcot actually- my TARDIS is red apparently where better to park it where it won't get noticed than at the UK pavilion in Epcot?
Also I have a journal in which I started unaccountably drawing fob watches a couple years ago (this is not a joke- I am serious and scanned the picture in to send to a friend LOL) so again, my family says that must be the real issue with all my wibbly wobbly, timey wimey, stuff.

Anyhoo. Love the sig. hope everything gets better and congrats to the BF on Employee of the month. I did many moons in retail, my hat is off to him.

thanks for posting a 'where are you' update!

I'm resurrecting this thread cause once again, I want to ask, where and how have you all been? My absence again has been unplanned and unintentional.

I've been sick. last month is a complete blur. Aside from looking over the book where my meds have been recorded, there's no other way I'd have to judge the passage of time I've been so out of it.

So glad I took that trip to WDW in July before the next wave of problems hit- I have though about it more than you can imagine since everything started to come unglued. Especially I have thought of the food--I have now graduated to eating food that is blended (I'm way past three weeks without being able to eat anything solid) and it's a relief after being at the point ten days ago when I was at the ER with out of control pain and (literally) choking on even water.

It's been no fun for St. March either, poor guy.

But I know so many others are going through rougher times- I hope some better times too.

So tell me what you've been up to!

Back to bed for me for now. Miss you guys, think of y'all all the time even when I can't be here.

Yes, I am so very glad I took that spur of the moment trip in July.

Wow! I hope you got through whatever it was and will be with us for a long while.

I went in for some minor surgery last Thursday to take care of a problem I've had for a while. All fixed and I'm doing fine. I did learn that percocet is much nicer than vicodin. Vicodin made me stupid.

We've got the junior sailing lunch and trophy presentation coming up this Sunday. Selection for trophies was really tough this year as we has so many great kids and so few boneheads.

The local Catholic school wants to start a one day a month sailing program for their eighth graders. That should be fun and we may be able to get a few interested in coming in every Saturday for competitive sailing.

Keep us updated on what's going on and stay in touch.

Are you sure that the percocet didn't make you even more stupid then the vicodin but you were so stupid that you couldn't tell how stupid you really were? Drugs can do that too you. As long as you were happy, I guess.

Did you ever figure out how you woke up naked in Nashville? (I just made that part up.)
