I suppose the only way Disney can be related to this story is if Disney required their employee to be away from the home (for instance, to work...) and to leave the child in the suspect's care because day care benefits were unavailable....

Yes, I noticed that as well. I hate it when the media does that.

I think the local media is programmed to emphasize DISNEY! no matter how dubious the connection. If you watch the video clip rather than just reading at the article, notice how the anchorwoman emphasizes the word Disney even though it pretty much has nothing to do with the rest of what she is saying. Of course, I also found it bizarre that they included interviews with two neighbors who didn't even know the family in question.

"If you are a dee, please don't marry a dee, 'cause then your kids will be dee dee dee." ....Carlos Mencia

"It's the difference between champagne and carbonated pee!" ....Homer Simpson

I am not talking about the Disney mom. My friend's room mate got married to this guy who was in prison for shaking a baby to death. The room mate is not bright at all. She married him before he got canned. After he got out she got married. What gets me that she also had her kids taken away from her because the ex-hubby did not find her fit for raising the kids. At that time she did drugs, got drunk and had no job. Now she is married, works 20 hours a week at Sears and her husband has a rap sheet. He says he is going to be a truck driver, I seriously doubt it. He needs to get out and stay away from kids. She is pregnant and I think the county will take the baby away.

Now mind you, if we lived in the Wild West, I might be among those who decided this particular punk "needed killing". But that would be because in that primitive society, one cannot depend on the courts and jails to follow the intent of the legislation and to take such offenders. off the streets.. and to separate them... from the innocent civilians.... two prior arrests..... for sexual offenses...... and no effort toward 911.......

Damn. Don't you hate it when your own best arguments don't convince you?
I hope the defense attorney comes to the same conclusion.

The media LOVES to mention some relation to Disney don't they. It don't matter if the mother worked at Disney or at Burger King.

And this is the reason no one is afraid to commit crimes anymore.

I guarantee you that if there were still public executions and that those executions be more then "time to go to sleep", then people would think twice. The criminal didn't care how cruel or unusual they were when they killed someone.

Bring back the chair, the noose, firing squad, ect. All these up tight people out there need to open their eyes. What if it was their family that was slaughtered? Would they still want the murder to just have a peaceful sleep death?

I believe that most people who commit crimes do not think about the consequences. They act impulsively, and believe that they won't get caught, or will be able to beat the system.

Maybe, but there are also the cases of pre meditated crimes.

Those are the ones that don't think they will get caught.
