Thankfully I've never had a major accident. I remember my first one quite well though. I was waiting at a railroad crossing and some doofus in a new white sports car slams into me from behind. Never even noticed all the cars stropped for the train. He knew I got his plate number as I jumped out of my car to get it. His only comment was, "My car is more damaged than yours," and then he took off. He was most definitely drunk or on something by the way he slurred and was just totally out of it.

I gave the info. to the cops. It took them a while to track the plate as his car was so new that it had just been registered. Turns out he had just gotten his driver's license back from its umpteenth suspension and did not want to report anything to his new insurance company. The cops said that if he met me at the station and paid for my damages in cash, they wouldn't put through the report. It was great...I got my payment and maybe doofus got a lesson, although I doubt it.

Yes. Just counting totaled cars (by my definition, not the insurance company's)...

87 Corolla
94 RX-7
90 RX-7
89 Skyline
92 240SX
aforementioned 98 Accord

That said, all of mine are one car incidents, and are 100% my fault. They all may or may not have have happened on public streets. It's kinda the reason I have 4 cars, so I'll always have one to drive. That said, my strategy isn't working, but uh... whatever. I can kill me some orange trees and barbed wire fences though.

How about an old autopia car? 2 seater with a off seatbelt system. Convertable, horrible milage. No keys required, pop the hood and start lawn mower engine. No A/C and stereo. :D:

My luck involves illegal left turns.

Three times I have been driving in the left lane on a one way street and had the person in the right lane decide to make a left turn in front of me. In none of the situations was I in a mandatory turn lane.

First and second time I managed to run into the left rear quarter of the car; when the police saw where the damage was in eich case the other person got the ticket.

Third time I was stopped at a traffic light. I must have had some premonition and did not do a jack rabbit start as I am sometimes prone to do so there was no crash. I had enough of a premonition so I still did not go forward and the car that was behind the first also made a left turn in front of me. The difference was he put on his flashing red and blue rooftop lights first and pulled over the other person.

Kinda OT. Years ago I'm heading to work. While waiting for the light to turn ,a guy on a bike decides to take off before the light turns green. If he looked behind him,he would have one of Tucson's finest RIGHT behind him. The bike rider found out soon enough. :D:

Hey, I resent that! I drive safe when there's a lot of traffic or I have a passenger (my cars only have 2 seats). It's when I'm agitated and alone that automobiles break the sound barrier. :p:

One of the car's I was driving (my mom's) was totaled twice by the insurance company's definition, and it still drove. Although, I think that was my only totalings. (I don't think that's a word, but you know what I'm trying to say) Most of them were in my truck, so it wasn't much physical damage. And this accident record of mine is exactly why I would love to own a Hummer (not a stupid H2 or H3 or whatever, a real one) cause people can hit me all they want and I figure I'll barely even feel it. :)

Last night I was driving home from work and there was this driver. I kept my distance from him because he was driving a large pick-up king cab truck and thought the medium with all the trees was a lane. I counted him hitting the medium 10 times. I was hopping he would hammer a tree. But the SG driver instead made a left turn and went down another intersection instead.
