hehehehehe
Urine does contain substances that I imagine would not exist in "pure" pool water, but I would think any urine would be VERY diluted in an average pool water sample. And how would they distinguish human from non-human urine?
I've seen bears, dogs, and frogs go swimming in pools. The pH would most likely be an indicater of excessive urine, I'm guessing.
To think we swam in those pee pools all these years and are still alive! :p:

I went to lesliespool.com and typed "urine" in the search box, got nothing, same thing for "pee."
They do have a test that checks for Pseudomonas, Aeromonas, E.coli, species of Salmonella, Shigella, Enterobacter, Klebsiella and many other Coliform and non-Coliform bacteria, however it does not say that it checks specifically for urine, as I believe that would be hard to determine given the other stuff in the water.
This is an interesting read though:

Like I said, the lady that owns the shop can test for PH levels and all sorts of stuff, but like some other posters pointed out, 6 ounces of "fluid" in a 5000 gallon pool is pretty hard to detect.
why am I starting to see the scene from Caddyshack, when the caddys were allowed in the pool? hehehehehhehee

There's a park near me that I have to pass to get to just about anywhere. Though there's at least one portapotty, when you walk by the park it smells like pee quite heavily. And somehow, it doesn't smell like dog pee, but more like human pee. I could be wrong, however. BTW, the portapotty is located far from the sidewalk. So it's not coming from there.
