It depends on how the air brakes are designed. The air brakes on trains are designed for the brakes to be applied at a loss of pressure but the brakes on trucks are usually designed to be applied by adding pressure. This means that if a train loses air pressure the brakes lock (prevents runaway cars if one breaks free) but if a truck loses air pressure the brakes fail. I don't know but I assume that the monorails use the former type of air brake, where loss of pressure causes the brakes to apply.

Good thought hobie, but no. darph would have to
