Re: Intervening Guests?
I was at the Sun Wheel at Purple Load. My fellow CMs and I had just remarked that we hadn't stopped for any wimp-out guests on this particular cycle. The wheel stopped and I began to unload guests. At about #12, I had an exiting guest refuse to get out of his gondola, swearing that he had only seen me once before. I continued to assure the guest that he had gone around twice, that the ride system had worked just as it always does, yet he kept swearing that he had experienced only one rotation. Even after I had tried to talk to him out of the gondola AND have my lead lure him out with re-ads, he refused to move out of his seat.
After about three minutes of this, guests in line started yelling. I even had one guest yell, "Get out of the gondola, you wanker!" in an Aussie accent. Once he exited (5 minutes later), EVERY guest cheered. He stated to them that it was a waste of their time, to which he encountered boos, expletives, and general negative feelings.
I <3 guests. The ones who hate idiots, anyway.

Re: Intervening Guests?
I've had it happen once to me at the Orange Stinger over at DCA. I measured a child who didn't appear to be 48 inches and sure enough the child was too small. So the dad starts to yell at me that their kid has been on once already. So I had to explain unfortunately I can't let the chid on this time. Next thing you know the guest on the other side of the gates start yelling at the dad telling them its for the safety of their child. Whatever this father didn't care. So they start cursing at each other. I didn't know what to do because I was fairly new at that time. They almost threw blows at each other. So the guest was like that father is stupid and someone had to put him in his place. I was like ok, thank you.
