I have to agree Hobie. While I've never really performed as a drummer (well, not with a set, I was in the drumline in High School) Just being at a concert with people clapping at the wrong part or even worse, when everyone in the crowd seems to be clapping at a different time, I have a hard time just enjoying the music.
