This was reported to be the plate of the mayor in Portland at the time:
My favorite plates from Oregon, like my parents, brother and I had on our cars, is
They started at CL and the number, but they were so popular that they had to take it to CK within two years or something like that.

Over the years I have had a lot of personalized plates
Texas - Mike T
Virginia -
MPT 1
Mike T
Mensa
F1gment
Florida (current plate)
F1gment
Note I keep the Virginia F1gment plate (with stickers removed) on the front of my car and the Florida plate on the back.

The only personalized plates I wanted were BU LAW, right after I got out of Baylor Law School (when LA Law was still on TV), and VM BARI -- but it's already taken by another member of my chorus.

My friend has my favorite license plate ever: it says
WWCTHLD
He also has
NOM LOL
on his truck.
(You have to be pretty geeky to get the first one, so I'll spell it out: What Would Cthulhu Do?)

I've got STIK SAV on my car at the moment. (I'm a goalie when I play hockey)
127001 would be cool, from a geek standpoint, but without punctuation, it loses some of the effect.

I also thought about getting my initials in HEX, then have a frame that asks:
