Yes, that is right. They also research and not just go on hearsay. In this case the source was the newspaper articles when the event happened in 1989 (which is usually more accurate than memory of the event.) At the end of each snopes article are the resources that you can actually check it out. In this case, they had many sources but the one that stood out to me was this one: Chicago Tribune. "Cartoon Figures Run Afoul of Law."
27 April 1989 (p. 26).

Thats what I like about them, the have the references that they used.

I used that at work , when someone (who should know better) starts sending the "e-mail" warnings, or whatever story is making the rounds. I look it up on Snopes, and then send them the link. I also stop the forwarding so that junk e-mail will not clog the system (its also aginst our internal rules!)

I was thinking along the lines of how some actors are identified in movie credits. Waiter #3 or tall waiter. Would this be a roll that they would list?

I did have a friend in college who got a job interview based on the fact that she was a young female whose resume listed her current job as "lubrication specialist for California Lubricants". She worked at Jiffy Lube. ;)

Reminds me of a credit in "Milk" that had me rolling in the aisle. One, and only one, actor's part was called "Gay Man". Well duh!!! :hysteria:

Must have been like Eddie Murphy in The Klumps, appearing over and over in different makeup.

Brian Yates Sharber's only role was playing Gay Man in Milk.

There are some good ones and some really politically incorrect ones.
Not wanting to offend my eyes or others I will let you look up them names if you like. Spike Lee had some really good names for some of his characters.
