Re: Bolt and Mittens!
Sigh-I have yet to see the movie. I love the look of Bolt he's adorable and looks like a German (or American White) Shepherd-my favorite dog breed.
I have passes to the AMC but I have been too busy with work. :(
I haven't bought a Bolt doll yet either. I'm hoping I get one for Christmas.
I'm suprised Disney didn't make a remote-controlled hamster in a ball. That would have gone over big.

See it if you possibly can. You won't regret it! To me Bolt looks like a mini-white Shepherd. He is adopted from an animal shelter, so they never actually say his breed. I am a huge German Shepherd fan so of course I loved him. And I love tuxedo cats, so of course I was big on Mittens too.
I thought the same thing about the hamster ball. Cracker Barrel has something like that so it wouldn't have been hard for Disney to make. Would have scared the heck out of my cats...they HATE the Cracker Barrel version so I can just imagine torturing them with Rhino-in-a-Ball.

The official word from Disney is that Bolt's design is based on an American White Shepherd, but with some alterations made;Syndrome wrote:See it if you possibly can. You won't regret it! From the official Bolt website, here is a quote from the film's production notes;
"The character of Bolt’s design cue is loosely based on American White Shepherds with changes to the ears, nose and overall body size."
So basically, Bolt isn't actually a real breed of dog, but he is based on one.
And yes, they don't have a remote control Rhino the Hamster toy, but I DID see a Hamster ball in a pet store that had Rhino on the package and was advertising Bolt. So in a way, they are capitalizing on the Hamster ball aspect. ;)

Took my four-year-old granddaughter to see BOLT yesterday, we both loved it. I didn't find the song annoying, but then, I only heard it once!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the film! :)
I've also realized something;
In the pre-parade, the song is on a short loop. So that might account for it being annoying to some.
During the film's end credits it is, of course, the whole song.
Again, I really don't care much for Miley Cyrus, but I really enjoy the song, it fits the movie well.

Re: Bolt and Mittens!
but what about RHINO?? He's a personal favorite of mine. We've become very close lately. Plus, he is the best character in the movie.

so, mickey is not a real mouse, donald is not a real duck, goofy is not a real whatever he is, they are just based on one.Disneyguy85 wrote:The official word from Disney is that Bolt's design is based on an American White Shepherd, but with some alterations made;

Why do I even bother gathering only *some* of the new characters?accioetoile wrote:but what about RHINO? He's a personal favorite of mine. We've become very close lately. Plus, he is the best character in the movie.
Fine, here's your Rhino. :rhino2:
And for those who can't tell the difference, here's a rhino.
