I just bought photo-gray lenses for my prescription glasses. The only way I can lose the "sunglasses" is to go blind.
Since I'm not in management, this actually makes a bit of a difference.

At DLP, you are not allowed to wear sunglasses unless you have a special permit to do so (like I had since I was juggling all the time). I don't know why, but I guess it is because a lot of people find they disctract from the theming of the place and that people want to see your eyes when they talk to you...

geez, I'd go crazy. I'm always wearing my sunglasses, even if it's partly cloudy out.

I always wanted to be there for the draining of the water during a rehab, they must find a BUTTLOAD of cool stuff.
wow, so that's why we have less and less to do at lost and found. i guess i should stop saying "no ma'am dont give up yet, there are so many honest people in the park."

BUNNY! I said "claimed" not "stolen from". I was a hijinker, not a thief! Don't you guys still have the 90 day claim rule at lost and found for the cast member that turns in the loot?
I collected so much stuff from putting my name in at lost and found, cameras, sunglasses, money, backpacks. It's ridiculous how many people just didn't check at lost and found for their item.

Had a guest at Splash once drop her sunglasses in the flume at load. Not only did it fall between the front log and the back log, but it fell down into the drum that spins the front dispatch belt. Once the air gates opened for them to board, her huband jumped on the front of the log and tried to stick his arm in the water and down into the drum, about 18 inches, near MOVING parts to get her sunglasses. Looking back I should have let him, and then hit an Estop as soon as his hand hit the water, but I acctually care back then. So I had tower do a single dispatch and with the front log out of the station was, had dispatch put in an inhibit, station stop and a ride stop and keep the hand over the Estop just in case. I wasn't just gonna stick my arm down there, ya know. So with my arm in up to about my shoulder, in the dispatch belt drum, I retrieved there glasses. And did I get a thank you, no. But the rest of the station was cheering and clapping cause the all had to watch while I did this. Thank Stupid Guests.

Of course you didn't get a thanks. The guest was a selfish bastard that thought only about himself. If the guest had thought anything about what other people had to go through perhaps he would have just wrote the sunglasses off.
Although I do like the idea of just telling them that they fell into a moving park and they are gone. Then hitting the E-Stop if he touches the water. You could say after the past few days that I'm a bit bitter about the guests.

Polar33 wrote:Risk loosing an arm for a pair of sunglasses...makes sense. You can go into almost any mini-mart and buy a new arm...but sunglasses, now those are hard to replace.
Oh of course... don't you know that HER sunglasses were special ones engraved in gold made just for her that can NEVER be replaced? Or that they bought them while they were visiting..... all the way from.....
