I saw Mickey Hart around before he got into The Dead. He worked at a music store in San Carlos, CA and was a wanna be drum roadie for a few bands in the area.
Jerry was another mid-peninsula guy. Before The Dead he taught guitar at Dana Morgan Music and lived in one of the practice rooms. Dana Morgan Jr. was asked to be in The Dead but thought the music store had more of a future. Who knew?BRWombat wrote:I've mentioned it here before, but I back in the 80's I toured in a singing group with Mickey Hart's brother Gregg. He had stories of being baby-sat by Jerry Garcia...![]()

...ah yes, "Spork U...and the horse you rode in on?" isn't that the university motto?
Reminds me of the Lewis Black sentence that he says will make your brain explode if you think of it too long that he overheard at the IHOP: "If it wasn't for that horse I never would have spent that year in college."
Yes I've had way too much caffeine and too little sleep LOL

I found some at Walmart for under 5 dollars. Just take along either plastic wrap or sandwich baggies. You could wash it in the sink and store them in your backpack until you need them. They came in many different colors so that little Jane and Joey can have their own, so there's no "eww, that's not mine!!"
Into a rude person's backpack?February wrote:I got a really expensive coffee in epcot and instead of making it, the person wearing the gloves kept stocking utensils until the cashier finally did it- without washing hands or putting on gloves. Then she smooshed the lid onto the cup with her flattened palm.
Guess where that coffee went.
