Re: Fairies
Interesting that you can meet the human Ariel over in Cali so easily and in both parks from the sounds of it. Here she greets in mermaid form at her grotto in the MK and to meet her in human form you have to attend a princess dinner at the Restaurant Akershus in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. She doesn't do meet & greets anywhere else.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

my son, a friend of mine and i went to dl on thursday and thought we might take a peek at the new pixies...but forget it...the line was at least an hour long and it wasn't getting any shorter...the cm we talked with said it was a zoo though the part of the queue we could see seemed tame enough...guess we'll just wait til some (or most) of the hubbub dies down

Re: Fairies
:pulls out her soapbox:
Okay, I am going to be the unpopular one yet again. What happened to my favorite fairy Vidia? I remember when they were handing out the mini pamphlets at Disneyland when the first books came out and she was the coolest because she wasn't all sugar and spice like the others.
I read a while back that people got upset because she seemed "goth" and not a good role model. So even though she is in the movie, (?) she isn't a character at Disneyland? Give me a break!
Here's her bio:
Vidia is definitely the least liked Fairy in all of Pixie Hallow. She is very selfish and mean-spirited and tends to call everyone "Dear" even though she doesn’t mean it. She very rarely has anything kind to say to or about anyone. Vidia is a speed talent fairy, and the only thing she is interested is flying fast and she must always be faster than anyone else. She lives by her self in a Sour Plum tree, and only visits with the other fairies when there is no way to get around it.
And here's her pic:

She's the fairy that I want to meet. You cannot find her anymore in the stores even. I knew I should have bought her when I saw her. Well, looks like a trip to Ebay for me.
I'm going to start a campaign: BRING BACK VIDIA!!!

Re: Fairies
Maybe she went to work for nVIDIA.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: Fairies
Well, let's face it--without conflict, you have no story. So they had to throw in a mean girl type to fill the bill. If all it was was good fairies, the story would be boring. And besides, in the story of Sleeping Beauty, there was a bad fairy, too. Why not with this? From what little I've seen of Tinkerbelle's new movie, she isn't just talking by "twinking" like she did in the Peter Pan movie. And her persona is much more rounded out. Speaking of rounded out, did I or did I not see a fat fairy on those commercials?
In other news....this is my 1000th post! Begone, dull shark! Whooooeeeee!!!!

Maybe they are saving her for villains?

Yes, Fairy Mary - she is head of the Tinker fairies.

Re: Fairies
I had a similar thought. Since we have other "bad" characters around why not the bad fairy? Cindy's evil step-mom and step-sisters visit the parks regularly as do a whole slew of other villains so why not let this bad fairy visit, at least every once in a while.ktulu wrote:Maybe they are saving her for villains?
