They are going to put in an American Idle show? They better have a huge area for trap doors for those who can not carry a note. They should keep cheer leaders away. One scream and that ceiling can fall down.

If the budget has to be cut somewhere it should be cut other places first, places where guests aren't affected or at least the least popular attractions and shows.

Personally I feel that's a lame excuse. This is a multi-billion dollar company, it can afford to continue running Beauty and the Beast. It can't be because of the current economic crisis, this has been planned for a while if I'm not mistaken, before the crisis started. Probably just some way for the execs or stockholders to line their pockets or something. I guarantee the rank and file CMs aren't going to see any kind of pay increase from the cutbacks.

We sure are. That building surrounded by a construction wall we watched Block Party Bash in front of is where it is going in.

I've heard the LTT thing is just to move more people through. But really, they're working hard at making me NOT spend thousands of dollars a year there... taking away the reasons to come. If all you want is rides, go to 6F.

So annoying... sorry to rant again :)

Absolutely... I don't have hard numbers, but I suspect the pay of a single exec could keep the Beauty and the Beast show going... just a thought.

CMs are underpaid and underappreciated by most people, and they are the reason to go to Disney World. The continued attitude by management will come back to bite them squarely in the seat.

The building looked quite small. Is that the same building as "Sounds Dangerous" with Drew Carey?

We have the long renovations here at the park. Small World is coming up after a 11 month rehab. Harbor Galley will be back with fish and chips. No more Mc Donald's french fries. The burger invasion was a full fledge Mc Donald's and that is being taken out and there will be some other restaurant replacing that in May 2009. The wine room gets replaced in Oct. 2009 and also the Sun Wheel re-opens in April 2009.

Also, they took apart Pleasure Island. Taking a few classics away like the Adventurers Club was sad. They should had left that one there.

Farther up from there. Right across from Echo Lake (the small pond with the dinosaur shaped ice cream stand).

This is the worst of all. I love LTT. I am really going to miss the characters there. :(

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

I've heard indirectly that the CMs at LTT (not even the entertainment ones) are really annoyed at this and internally trying to fight it, though from what I've read on here, I doubt that will get far.

I wonder if there is anything that would convince management. Enough guest complaints, I suppose.

We remembered Echo Lake because we got the ice cream in the waffle cones. Moe, Christina and I had the leaky ice cream cones. They were good.

So, the building that will be having the show would be near Star Tours? Or close to the Backlot tour area?

What are they doing with the backlot tour? Any changes to that area? Are they still filming Desparate Housewives? Or did that go to CA's Universal Studios?

Let me know.
:o: ;)

Not quite. It is directly between Sounds Dangerous and The Great Movie Ride. Behind it is the ABC Commissary.

I don't know a thing about Desperate Housewives. No changes in the future that I know of to the Backlot tour. Years ago they tore out the "neighborhood" back there to make room for Lights, Motors, Action so all the famous houses from television are long gone.
