Aren't pain meds FUN?????? I picture you in your little scooter sort of like those little doggies that have wheels for back legs! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Just kidding....
I got a note from my doctor for the metal in my back...I'm sure I will still get wanded...wish it was Tinkerbell's wand though! Lots of magic in that wand!
I hope you are feeling better and it gets betterer and betterer each day. Sending lots of prayers for a swift and happy healing! Yep, I am down on my pain meds as well, getting close to being drug free again after too many years of them... :)

From my mom's and DFIL's experience with TSA, those cards/notes from doctors don't make much difference -- except to explain why you beep when they wand you!!

Hey, gang... Thought I'd chime in with an update, since I hadn't posted in a while. I am off the pain meds for almost 48 hours now, and as they work their way out of my system, I feel more and more like my normal self (or whatever normal is for me). As I told my wife today, I finally feel like a person with a hurt foot rather than a patient from head to toe. My temperature has stopped its daily roller coaster, and the pain has settled to a constant dull throb, which is a lot easier to live with.
Getting around is getting a little easier, although my choice of places to go is still pretty limited. I was actually home alone for most of the day yesterday, and it's nice to finally move myself around without a "spotter" and reassure myself that I can survive alone for a while.
I'll be ready to get this hunk of concrete (okay, plaster) off of my lower right leg next Tuesday, though it'll be a little scary having my ankle unprotected and still not being able to put any pressure on it. (That's where Zazu's boot should come in handy.)
Thanks again for all the prayers and support! I really feel their effect.

Yeah, rub it in ktulu. Make us all feel bad. :(
Wombat - so glad to hear you're on the mend, slowly but surely. Be careful while you're home alone. No dancing around in your socks and underwear like Tom Cruise, at least until you're fully healed. ;)

Love to! (Hey, right now I'm jealous of everyone who can walk, so the DL trip doesn't add much!) I need to get you the Virtual WDW files, too -- though my access to that computer is rather limited.

Heh.

Trust me, if anyone ever saw me doing anything like that, they wouldn't notice any similarity to Tom Cruise. (Except perhaps the barely suppressed insanity. :p :)

Was it apparent even then??
