Here are a few things that have also come to light about this new promotion:

All DLR and WDW CMs will be scheduled training at their respective Disney Universities, in order to acclimate themselves to this new promotion, much like what happened when the Year of a Million Dreams first started.

Here at the DLR, Big Thunder Ranch will be reopening as a restaurant at Disneyland Park :D: . Under the name "Celebration Roundup and Barbecue at Big Thunder Ranch".

Apparently, we will begin to sell the Mickey Mouse balloons without the surrounding mylar 'bubble'. With the predominance of balloons in this celebration, ODV/ODF Vendors, you may start crying at this time :p: .

A new street show, Celebrate You, will be debuting on Main Street USA at Disneyland Park and the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World.

Nametags: I've heard conflicting stories on this. Some are saying that we won't be getting new nametags since we're still being advertised as Disneyland Resort/Walt Disney World Resort: Where Dreams Come True, and we both have anniversaries coming up that would merit new nametags (DLR's 55th in 2010, and WDW's 40th in 2011). Though some are saying that we will, I guess we'll find out soon, lol.

I'm very excited about this. It seems like Marketing has finally done something right :D: .

Here is an SG excuse for this one:

"But my kid's birthday is during the school year. That is NOT fair to not let him get in free just cause he wasn't born when we could come in the Summer or Spring Break or...!"

It WILL happen...get ready for many more excuses...Ah, you CMs are gonna have fun with the SGs who feel entitled with this one!

On the other hand, I WILL be at Disneyland for my birthday and we will be at WDW for Ralphie's, even tho we have APs for DL, this will be a fun treat.

It will be interesting to see how the promotion goes over.

Why do they ALWAYS have to some sort of promotion? Can't they just have the Parks open as usual and do the Year of No Promotions? That would be unique!

I guess they feel like they have to give away stuff to make them come.
They don't think like Walt who thought like Costner in Field of Dreams: Build it and they will come!

Everyone wants something for free these days. The dangling carrot is great for drawing in SGs by the hordes. Those of us who go because we just love to be in the land and World of Disney don't care about freebies!

Another thing is, wouldn't a person buy a Parkhopper or tix to the Parks before they come on vacation? I guess they would just leave that one day out for one of the tix when they buy them. Do many visitors from out of state actually buy their tix when they get there? I always thought most folks would get them beforehand in their package or from a great online source for cheaper tix. You would have to remember to not pay for that date for the birthday clown! ;)

One person will need food and drink and by gifts in theory.

I NEED HELP.
I need to get me 15 fake IDs so I can have a free vacation at WDW.
(note to self,Get 364 fake id's. No,better yet. get a fake ID machine, give churcy's ID gratis. Next go to Boards X,Y,and Z. A minimal charge of say $5.00 each.....I'll be friggin RICH)

Yes you will be RICH, Darph! Such an entreprenurial mind you have!
Good thinking! See ya at the parks for our birthdays, anniversaries, triumphs, first visits...hehehehe...

I just registered Ralphie for April's birthday trip and already printed out the ticket! Woo Hoo! I then registered for me at DL for my usual January birthday trip! That voucher will come a few months before the January birthday, it says at the site!

HEY! It IS a few months before the birthday in January! Should be here soon! With my AP, this means I get some sort of gift card for merch in the Parks? Oh boy, Ralphie gonna LOVE that! Less $$ he has to spend! ;)
Go Mouse!

They had to. Too many people never made it to their next birthday.
